dz is running in a serverrack in a container
there is also a pi also running another dz
is it possible to have the one in a container and the other one as slave?

Why would you make 2 Domoticz instances in your house and connect them?
I can understand you do this for an holiday home that you remotely want to control from your own Domoticz server. But not in your own house....

Re: master-slave whereas master is in container
This regards a somewhat big Scouting building. There's a technical space in which the master domoticz is running on a server in 19" rack.
To monitor the elecrtrical counter the slave pi is nearby the P1 meter. The meter is in a small room in which I don't like to have the 'heart' of the automation.

Re: master-slave whereas master is in container
Ah, you dont need Domoticz master-slave for that. You can also just forward the P1 meter data directly to the only Domoticz server with for example ser2net https://wiki.domoticz.com/SharingSerialDevices In Domoticz you use the P1 Smart Meter with LAN interface" gateway.
See also wiki https://wiki.domoticz.com/Dutch_DSMR_sm ... o_Domoticz
This will save you some extra management of a Domoticz instance as the ser2net is a very simple maintenance free implementation.
And you also can use a cheap ESP device instead of an RPi if you want to save some money. https://smart-stuff.nl/product/p1-donge ... ter-esp32/
