Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
I think there is still a bug in the cost calculation. This is my current output of the P1 Energy in the energy dashboard:
So even if i calculate in the worst case (in this case R1 pricing ) the cost should be a least 1.80 (6kwh delivered to the next x 0.3048 R1 cost). The energy dashboard states 1.60. If i caluclate using kosten R2, the differnce would be even bigger...
EDIT: Did a bit more investigation: in the energy report the output is correct, it states -2.09, where the energy dashboard incorrectly still states -1.60, so i would expect these numbers be the same...
In my Settings "Kosten R1" is 0.3048 and "Kosten R2" is 0.3228. So even if i calculate in the worst case (in this case R1 pricing ) the cost should be a least 1.80 (6kwh delivered to the next x 0.3048 R1 cost). The energy dashboard states 1.60. Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Yes, BUT... there are users that do not correct these parameters when they install Domoticz... and this will result in bad numbers.
This is more a trigger from '... make sure you got your numbers right'

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
That depends...
- Are you using the latest Domoticz beta version from today as there have been some changes to te P1 report.
It will now use/display the internal calculated (dynamic) price instead of a simple multiply
(Also, when you have a dynamic contract, you need to use the latest beta to see the right prices in the report (90% working))
- The internal calculated price (at the moment) was calculated at the end of each hour... so this price is a bit lower than the 'real' price.
I just pushed a new beta that has a 5-minute resolution (beta 16081)
Remember that this is a "Work In Progress"... besides this dashboard, the dynamic price calculation is new as well.

I know it’s bèta, that’s why I give the feedback so you can improve the code
I’ll try to upgrade somewhere this week…

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
The intergrated dashboard is working as expected. Build 16081 shows the correct cost estimates based on the values I entered in the settings. Previous versions showed the cost multiplied by thousand which was a bit confusing
Kudos to @Meneer Klaas and @Gizmocus for this excellent addition to Domoticz!

update to 16081 and now indeed cost seems to be correct. Tx @gizmocus (and @meneerklaas)

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Nice one this Energy Dashboard!
For the 'Gas' meter, it would be nice to also 'allow' RFX meter devices with a different Type (ie. Custom) to be selected in the settings. Esspecially for the people having District Heat (measured in GJ instead of M3 for Gas) this would be welcome..
I was able to select my RFX meter (Type = Custom) via a workaround and it seems to work properly (except for the costs which are shown as 0.00)
- first change the device type to Gas,
- then select the device in Energy Dashboard settings (it appears now)
- then switch back the device from Type = Gas to Type = Custom (GJ).

Did you change the type manually in the database ?

No, on the device itself. It's device type 'RFXMeter counter' (created via dummy hardware)

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
I would say that this energy dashboard is one of the best improvements of Domoticz.
Thanks to the developers.
I would do some suggestions to made it even better.
Currently only one of my PV systems can be selected. Would not it be logic to have the opportunity to add several (3) in my case. I believe HA has this option.
I tried to include via free widget 1 my heatpump. For that I created a P1 device but this does not pop up in the combobox .
Than a small nice to have: as I often use my phone to check things it would appreciate a bigger font for the values. Now, also using my glasses, makes it very difficult to read.
Thanks!
Bart

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
In Domoticz you can easily make a dzvents script for a dummy total PV General kWh device. You have 3 inverters others will have 5... So where will it stop?

Walter, I just checked my test HA. I cannot find a limit in consumers nor power generating systems.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Everything can be programmed of course so perhaps Gizmocuz will implement this. In current setup it does not seem to be easy so for you to get a summarize PV in your energy dashboard I would advise you to make a summarize device yourself.

For those struggling to read on a phone: switch to desktop mode and you can scale.

In the current beta version (16089) it should now be possible to zoom.
@BartSr, exactly as Walter said, use dzVents to make build a new Watt sensor that adds them all together. Super easy!

@gizmocus
if it's that easy to create a total P1-consumers device it would be great to include such in the wiki.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Thanks Waltervl! This helped finding my problem. I now understand how it works. for gas i selected (internal) and it works (after a day waiting for change in my meter).
Running latest BETA on on Docker (Container Manager) in Synology NAS using zwave_js_ui with mqtt. Getting started with homebridge.

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
Something like this. When more than 2 solar sets you have to add extra Power devices to the calculations.
Code: Select all
return
{
on =
{
timer = { 'every minute' }
},
execute = function(domoticz, item)
local Solar1Power = domoticz.devices(2013) -- Solar set 1, existing General kwh device
local Solar2Power = domoticz.devices(2039) -- Solar set 2, existing General kwh device
-- Create manually a dummy kWh, Electricity (instant and counter) device in generation mode
local totalPower = domoticz.devices(2037) -- total, to be used in Energy dashboard configuration
totalPower.updateElectricity(
Solar1Power.actualWatt + Solar2Power.actualWatt,
Solar1Power.WhTotal + Solar2Power.WhTotal
)
end
}

Re: Energy Dashboard (Build in)
it would be nice to use an backrdound on the Energy Dashboard,
The dashboard is an verry nice Feature.
the second thing will be fine to have also 2 dashes (if possible) i have an little offgrid (seperated from the home electricity) with own solar panels battery an inverter, wil be verry cool if there wil be more dashboards possible.
but the Dashboard is realy NICE, thats what im always missed, seen it often in Victron systems and now we have it in Domoticz NICE !
