Tasmota switches stop working after few hours from Domoticz. MQTT issue?

For devices supporting the Auto Discovery feature. Like ZWaveJS2MQTT, Zigbee2MQTT.

Tasmota switches stop working after few hours from Domoticz. MQTT issue?

Post by Jane »

When system starts. All works fine. ZWave, RFXCom, Zigbee and Tasmota devices.
But after about 4 hours the tasmota switches reacting slower when switchting on/off.
1 hour later they stopped reacting when on/off.

Hopefully someone has an idea to resolve this.

Version: Domoticz 2023 2
Platform: Raspberry pi 4b 4gb ssd
Plugin/Hardware: see picture in the description
Description:

When system starts. All works fine. ZWave, RFXCom, Zigbee and Tasmota devices.
But after about 4 hours the tasmota switches reacting slower when switchting on/off.
1 hour later they stopped reacting when on/off.
The incomming data is receiving correct, like electra ursage. kWh etc.

After restart Domoticz it's the same after a while.

I have problems with my Tasmota switches after update to new system.
Before I had OpenZWave and now Z-Wave-JS-UI.
For Zigbee2MQTT and ZWave-JS-UI, I have MQTT Auto Discovery Gateway with LAN interface.
For the Tasmota devices I use MQTT Client Gateway with LAN interface.
Tasmota with MQTT Auto Discovery did not working.
Maybe the problem is the 2 MQTT's installed at same time.

Before on old system I had OpenZWave and no MQTT auto discovery.
I testing with powerswitch tasmota versions 12 3 1 and 13 2 0.
Before I was going from old Raspberry pi 3b I had run a test Raspberry pi 4b.
After running ok for a few weeks, I was stept over to new main raspberry pi 4b with data from
the old Domoticz on the 3b.
I had updated the ZWave devices from OpenZwave to Z-Wave-JS-UI.

For test I have also run Home Assistant. The Tasmota device there working ok. !!

I have now running a script who calls domoticz to switch on a tasmota powerswitch.
and check how long it takes that the device is going on.
When to long, like 2 min or not on, automaticly restart Domoticz.
But this not nice :-(

I use some Tasmota devices because the http calls that I make to the devices, outsite the raspberry.

I also tried to use tasmota devices with MQTT auto discovery, but it didn't work.

I found the solution for my problem.
I believe MQTT Auto Discovery Gateway with LAN interface and MQTT Client Gateway with LAN interface have a problem together.

Instead MQTT Client Gateway with LAN interface I have installed Autodiscovery of Tasmota devices Tasmoticz.
Now the tasmota devices automatic added.

The problem is gone now. :D It's running 4 days without problems.
