ran virgin install from prompt (curl) and updatebeta now login needed

Post by ErnieFR »

Hi there, anybody known to what the account id/pwd is after running updatebeta ?
Just got a brand new Raspi4, headless accessed ssh to install Domoticz with curl command. All went great but would not start after install. Ran the service status command and it showed "exited" and "file not found /home/pi/domoticz/domoticz" which was perfectly there. Same when starting this file from the prompt, no such file found :-( part I
Looked a bit around, found a remark from others saying to run the ./updatebeta script and so I did. Now it start fine, but it asks for an account ID/PWD and nothing seems to be accepted :-( part II
Did another reboot, it keeps asking for an account while nothing is yet configured. Tried to simply click ok, or Admin or Admin/Admin or root account info but nothing seems to work....
If something on the basic login security has changed, which used to be zero/absent, why is there no info after using the upgradebeta script on this?

Next to the tip to use the wiki https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Getting_started I would also advise you to use the stable release and not the beta especially as a virgin.

Code: Select all

cd domoticz
sudo ./updaterelease
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar

thanks to this action I'm back to square one : "file not found" in both service status info and in bash

There should not be any user account info been asked, or am I wrong. Could you please simply reply to this question?
