Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Confirmed. I am also still using the old method. It just works and I see no need to move to the new method.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I'm running Domoticz on windows so I don't think I can use the old method .
Might be time to install Domoticz on a Pi!

Running Domoticz on Pi3 with RFXtrx433e. LWRF power sockets and dimmer switches. Integrated my existing wirefree alarm PIRs and door contacts with domoticz. Geofencing with Pilot. Harmony Hub. Tado for Heating. Now playing with mysensors.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
The old method is perfectly reliable but lacks the functionality to update domoticz if activity changes are initiated via the harmony remote.its not a big deal but it's a nice function.Yihaaa wrote:Confirmed. In the old harmony thread someone posted a script which gives this functionality however the script has to run on a loop so can increase the load on the pi quite significantly, depending in the frequency of the loop.
It works, but it's not perfect.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
make sure you enabled 'accept new hardware devices' before adding the harmony, or enabled it, disable/enable the harmony hardware.
Just added a new activity some days ago, forgot about it in domoticz, checked just now, and its already there

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Many thanks for your hard work (and @codeitaway) and this tip in particular....as a beginner of all things Domoticz i had no idea this option even existed!gizmocuz wrote:make sure you enabled 'accept new hardware devices' before adding the harmony, or enabled it, disable/enable the harmony hardware.

So far good news, my harmony activities are successfully added, the log no longer gets filled with errors, one slight issue from my end:
I can switch between activities ok, but can't power off....
Is there anything i need to do or should this be automatic ?
Im running 2096 on a Pi.

I disabled the "accept new hardware" last week because I kept picking up loads of byron SX devises
All working perfectly again now

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Hi..im getting errors when using the native support...causing my hub to lock up completely, i can only use the hub again after restarting domoticz, when this occurs i can't even use my harmony remote.
The issue is similar to the original problems on the pi....
My log shows...

I haven't changed my harmony hub configuration recently in any way.
It can happen three or four times in a day, or can sometimes go a few days without happening at all.
@CodeItAway any ideas what could be causing this ? its an excellent feature but I've had to disable it because of this problem.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I'm getting the following message: "Logitech web service login failed"
I can't be sure but it seems to have been since I flashed my RFX433 to FW v81. Was working perfectly beforehand.
Anyone else experiencing the same or can offer and explanation/advice please?

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
It's still working for me, even after installing beta build 2.2187. I haven't flashed (new) RFXCom firmware but I don't believe the RFXCom is reponsible for communication (it's through web services). Make sure the password is correct, 'Login failed' suggests that's where the problem is.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
Do you mean on the Harmony Hub? I've rebooted that, still the same. I thought the IP of the hub may have changed but that is still the same too.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
How odd. As a last resort I downgraded my RFXCom firmware back to FW v71, rebooted everything and the Harmony Hub authenticated and logged in perfectly straight away.

Re: Harmony support, new hardware?
I got round this by adding "all off" as an activity on the Harmony hub. This then appears in your devices and can be added to Domoticz to turn everything off when pressed.Mooky wrote:I have domoticz 2187 + pi + harmony hub + RFX v69.

But isn't that why the "Harmony Off" device (automatically created) is made for ?
Maybe I chose the wrong type, I set it up as a "Push Off button". Is that correct ?

Use that one and set it up as a push on button. That should work.
