Darksky still in forecast after switch OpenWeather.
Yesterday I have switched from Darksky to OpenWeather for the temperature and forecast. I removed the Darksky weather "hardware" and added the OpenWeahter one. Only if I click Forecast it still wants to go to Darksky. I found that this is done by the forecastcontroller.js in the /www/app directory. I have found the link on OpenWeather for a 5 day forecast. Can I just copy and past it in the js file or must there be some kind of format. Is there an example of an forecastcontroller.js for OpenWeather?

Once the PR is accepted and merged (now it is Open) then it becomes available in the Beta.

Re: Darksky still in forecast after switch OpenWeather.
Hi everyone, today I opened the forecast in the domoticz weather screen again and to my surprise I still got a Darksky weather overview . I just looked at the PR from a few years ago and I couldn't make out what the status is now . I installed the OpenWeatherMap plugin and it works fine, except for the forecast screen.
How do I get the OpenWeatherMap forecast in the forecast screen ?
kind regards, --Edgar

Well, from first of April, Darksky seems not be working anymore...
Somebody has prepared an alternative https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/pull/5660 with Visual Crissing weather API to be implemented in Domoticz.
For the Netherlands you can also use the Buienradar integration.

Re: Darksky still in forecast after switch OpenWeather.
Nice to get a new set of virtual devices replacing those for DarkSky,
but if you already apply read-out of DarkSky-values in other scripts etc, e.g. by means of this lua-script,
it means that all those scripts have to be checked & corrected.
The described changing of the datatabase-entry is one way to support a Raspberry running stable-release of Domoticz.
As 'external' alternative I have made a Python-variant of the lua-script (mentioned above) which reads the VC_API for forecasted & current values and provides emulated filling of the DarkSky virtual devices.
Only value presently missing is Ozone (expressed as DobsonUnits), but OpenUV.io can probably serve as alternative data-source for that value:
although the ozone-level in the OpenUV data-file is strangely high and unstable.
Not a very 'clean' solution (because the DarkSky-devices visibly seem to remain in operation),
but quick&dirty until time found for proper upgrade to VC-information for those scripts reading DarkSky-devices.

Visual Crossing Weather lookup DarkSky 1:1 replacement implemented in latest betawaltervl wrote: ↑Monday 03 April 2023 18:29 Well, from first of April, Darksky seems not be working anymore...
Somebody has prepared an alternative https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/pull/5660 with Visual Crossing weather API to be implemented in Domoticz.
For the Netherlands you can also use the Buienradar integration.
From the PR:
Go to https://www.visualcrossing.com/ and create an account
Copy the API key from account details
Go to your domoticz installation
Add new hardware of type Visual Crossing (Weather Lookup)
OR
Edit hardware type of darksky entry to 127 via DB and change API key to new key
