Goodwe solar inverter via Web API

Post by Jan Jansen »

Can this native hardware type still be used? I miss a howto, but maybe I didn't search properly. I can't get it working.

Thanks in advance

Currently it does not work, that is why python plugins are being created
https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues/5393
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar

@waltervl

Thanks for your reply. Too bad the native hardware doesn't work anymore.

If this is a traditional central inverter for solar panels and you can't get data directly from the inverter, you could as an alternative still install a kWh meter on the AC power line and measure the total solar panel output in that way. That is what I do. I use the homewizard wifi kwh meter. (Originally I had the plugwise connector but that stopped working)

The python plugins for the goodwe inverters are functional so you can use one of those (one for web and one for modbus) see https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Plugins
