It might be, but you're the first one I hear about having this issue.

It is working again. I have changed nothing and on both my ipad and iphone it is working again. I don’t know if you changed something but thanks for the support. PS. Sorry for the late reply.

I know this thread is old but I have a notification issue when using Location Services that I can't seem to resolve, I've tried contacting the author of the software twice via the website and emailed him directly but got no response, just wondered if someone else could confirm if they are having any similar problems.

Had the app installed on my old iPhone 8 for a few years with no issues at all, upgraded to an iPhone 13 Pro last November and I think to start with everything was good however now I have the following:

I use location sevices to flip the state of a switch in Domoticz depending on if I'm home or not, previously even if the Pilot App was shut down on my phone the notification still worked now unless I leave Pilot running in the background it does not however my partners phone which is setup exactly the same works just fine even with the app closed the notification works and she has the same phone, ios and app version.
I've tried deleting the app and all data, rebooting the phone, installing a fresh copy not from a backup and doing the restore purchase to get back to my paid version then add all my settings back in but it's still the same.
I know I could leave the app running in the background but I never used to and it worked just fine - it's driving me nuts !!

With new iOS versions have a much stricter access control to allow applications to perform actions.

I don’t think the problem you have is with the App but an iOS setting not allowing the app to push notifications when not running. Search the app specific security settings (not in the app itself).

Thanks for the reply, I've been through every setting I could find so I'll see what happens, it's just a bit of a pain to test as I will have to get at least 200m away from either location before it will trigger so have to keep going out for a walk or a drive to see if it works, I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't cold out !!

Update for anyone who's interested.

I have an old iphone 5S (ios 12.5) so dug it out, got a payg sim for it and installed pilot, notifications work perfectly even when the app is completely closed down, I've been backwards and forwards through my 13 pro and changed every setting i could find but no different, if i close pilot completely no notifications occur, not even ones local to the phone so it looks very much like ios is restricting it - bummer :(

Still with great pleasure I’m using the Pilot app for my Domoticz server/setup at home. For a while I’ve noticed some strange behavior when trying to connect from outside to my home network. When I open the Pilot app and pull down to refresh the status the app cannot make a connection to the server. I get the error screen. Then when doing another pull down action I can make the connection. I can alway reproduce this problem. Any idea why this is the case? See also the screenshots attached.

In this situation I try to make a web connection using Safari and that is always working instantaneously. So I’ve a feeling this has something to do with the Pilot app.

The SSL certificates etc are all configured correctly, I’ve checked that already. The server configuration is also included in this email. I’m using the Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates. I’ve tested this situation with the self signed certificate on and off and there is no difference.

I’m missing the support (see question above) on the Pilot App from the developer Patrick Ferreira. Also on an email I’ve sent I’ve not received feedback. Is he still working on the Pilot App? Any ideas?

I should have answered to you by now! ;)
Regardless, a new app upadte is currently being tested, and should be released soon, including support for the new blinds in Domoticz!

I saw the update of the Pilot app but it's still not working for me, now my blinds working (normaly) with domoticz, dashticz and homekit(homebridge) so I've given up using Pilot, I now use the Homekit app (with Homebridge) to control my blinds from outside my home.

Is there something going on with the geofencing lately? I saw that my wife hasn't been regeistered for 10 days and while I was checking her iPhone, I saw that I haven't been registered (in or out) for 7 days too. Nothing changed on our iPhones and I use the latest (Beta) of Domoticz.
Switching (manually) works when out of the house, so it's not a network/port issue.

Edit:

It looks like the solution is changing the switch. In my case it was switch '100' but when re-selecting the switch it shows 'device 100'. And saving this "new" switch did the trick.

Did you read my post about changing the switch-names, the one before your reply? No need to revert back to a prior iOS.

Hi all:)

Maybe someone in the forum knows about this problem. With ios 16 the widgets are rarely show the value's. Before it worked perfectly.

Here are some screenshots

I contacted Patrick, but no response.

I deleted pilot and the widgets and reinstalled it again, but no luck.

Connection is there, because i can see the values updating in the app it selfs

Anyone an idea how to solve this ?

Automation with Pilot using the iOS Shorcuts app is broken too.

Since a few days, Pilot doesn't show any devices or log. I am still connected, but no access to any devices.
Using the latest version of Pilot and also the latest Beta version of Domoticz.

Others with the same problem?

Edit: it seems that with the latest Beta versions something changed, maybe that's the problem?
