Re: Confused about which device belong to which zwave-node

I'm amazed that this is not part of Domoticz (anymore), and how hard it is to actually find zwave devices that belongs to the same unit. So I implemented a quickfix on top of Version: 2020.2 (build 12660) (I guess it will work on latest as well).

Now each z-wave device/unit is listed as a separate hardware, and selecting the z-wave device/unit (hardware) will filter the list for all related domoticz devices. It's possible to select multiple z-wave devices/units simultaneously.

I can make a PR if it's interesting to get this addition merged. No guarantee it will get accepted though.

Great work! Though, I am afraid it will not be accepted as gizmocuz has mentioned it is not a useful feature

Yes, I know. Let's hope it will stay this time... The code is identical to what you provided, I just rebased it to the new devices code.

I hope so too and else simply merge it into the source whenever I update. ( Which is not likely to be anytime soon with all the issues I read with latest version of openzwave and its issues inside Domoticz.)

Yes, It's always easy to just merge it locally if it eventually get removed again ;)
I have been running on latest for a long time now. What are the zwave problems reported by other users?

I'll have to look at the release notes to verify if it's in stable yet.

I am now on 2021.1. How can I get the mixed device/hardware tab. In devices tab, I can only see the devices, idx are highlighted. But I don‘t see the hardware list as it is shown in the picture above in this thread.

Also searched a bit for this one :)

Looks this does not always show all devices in a z-wave node: Using this bar only shows relay control from my Qubino Smart-Meter... But search using the old hex node ID method still shows all devices (V/I/W/Cos Phy...). Others I checked (not all) looks OK.

Can't see how to put an image (needs an external URL) directly in the forum to show this, but that's what's happening.
