Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Does anyone have any of these (see pic) and are having battery issues, all my zigbee stuff apart from these has great battery life but these are eating them like there is no tomorow, so far I think I've used three sets of batteries in 3 months !!

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
I'm using a Conbee II, at present both my sensors are installed via the Phoscon app and then deconz with the plugin to get the info into Domoticz. I have a Domoticz test system as well which uses a CC2531 flashed as a router with zigbee2mqtt, think I might move one to that and see if the effect is the same.
Yes the sensor is indeed a Tuya one, they are quite nice - just need to resolve the battery issue.

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Sorry for the delay in replying Thorgal789, where can I find the json for the device?
When added via the Phoscon app it says the sensor has been added but does not appear in the list however it does show up in deCONZ, this lists it as:-
Model - TS0201 and Vendor - Heiman.
I guess it still appears in Domoticz because it shows up in deCONZ despite not appearing in Phoscon.
TIA

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Ha ? strange this sensor is just a temperature sensor, nothing special to don't be displayed in phoscon but yes, phoscon is just an app that use the api like domoticz, so they can choose the device displayed or not.
But it s ok "Model - TS0201 and Vendor - Heiman." is enought to reconize the device, there is one dev with the device too but I m still searching someone else whith the problem.

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Got mine. It is working perfectly with zigbee2MQTT and presents itself as Model is TS0201 by _TZ2000_a476raq2
It updates frequently when there are significant changes in temp or hum. Otherwise it does not update frequently.
So I expect it won't eat batteries.
I use extra parameters to get the temp with 1 digit behind the comma and Hum without any digits behind the comma.
I saw on github some issues with a light sensor updating to frequently.
There might be a parameter solution for the frequent updating problem for this device.

On my side still investigating > https://github.com/dresden-elektronik/d ... ssues/2774
I have an user with 2 devices, one is working perfectly, the other have same issue.

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
The device is working for 2 days now, and I have an other problem.
The device is not updating frequently enough. Every few hours.
So I now get temperature jumps of sometimes more then 2 degrees, while the link quality is 164 to the next router.
I suppose there is a 'hidden' setting in the device about the update frequency.

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Well I moved one of my TS0201 sensors to my other test network that uses the CC2531 as a coordinator etc and that made no difference, as you can see from the attachment. Looks like I won't be using these for too much longer at this battery usage rate

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Only 2 the TS0201's, both with the same issue, one now connected to a Conbee II and this one on a CC2531
All my other devices for temp measurement are the Xiaomi Aqara ones with no display running CR2032 coin cells, not had to change any batteries in those yet and they are all over a year old

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
A possible fix was suggested to me.
https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt/issues/4202
I implemented the possible fix about 3 hours ago, well have to wait if it works.
I got an error tough when started up zigbee2mqtt, wills see...

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Bit of an update on this although it doesn't produce any answers, as I said before I have 2 separate systems, my main one uses a Conbee II with deCONZ and the plugin from Thorgal789 (thank you very much!) and my test system has a flashed CC2531 and uses zigbee2mqt, so previously both sensors were on my Conbee and battery life was terrible so I deleted one of them from the Conbee and added it to the test system on the CC2531, changed both sets of batteries again at the same time and now have a result although not what I expected. The sensor that remained unaltered (apart from new batteries) on the Conbee is still running fine and shows full battery but the one moved to the CC2531 has again eaten the batteries already.
If anything I expected this to be exactly the opposite

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
So first try on deconz > battery haven't live.
Second try on deconz > battery ok ?
With the same device ?
You haven't re-included the device ? Can have a differences during inclusion procedure, on deconz 2 inclusion can have differents results with battery device.

Re: Round LCD Temp, Hum sensors
Can you see in logfiles how often updates (temp and/or/hum) occurs?
I have 2 of those devices with excellent battery life, but update frequency is very low.
The devices updates only when the delta in temp >= 0.7 degrees Celsius or delta in hum >= 4%
So a rise or drop in temp of 0.6 degrees Celsius or less does not give an update.
I wonder what the update deltas are with other TS0201
