Hi -
nothing has changed with Controlicz - there have been some intermittent issues with the retrieval and responses from the Google cloud to the Home devices which I cannot control - these seem to have been resolved.
However, if you are still having issues after resetting your Google device (or creating a new Home in the Home app and trying to relink your Controlicz account) then please mail me from your Controlicz profile and i'll investigate directly.

Also, I have provided some new discovery behaviours. Not all devices discover as you would like, and you've asked for the ability to override these - now you can. From the FAQs:

you can provide a specific type of device: Light/Switch/Outlet/Fan/Thermostat/TempSensor/Security/Lock/Sensor/Battery/Selector/Blinds/Vacuum.
for example - Simply put TypeControl: Light in the device description field and sync/discover your devices and Controlicz will treat the device accordingly

Product Release notes updated

Enjoy
How do you need to seperate this in the description field? i know have: Controlicz: Gordijnen; TypeControl: Blinds

But the blinds still not show up in the controlicz devices list(the are in a roomplam) after several sync requests. Other stuff like a scene i just addes pops right up.

You should be ok - let me explore this. Can you try removing the Controlicz: piece and just use TypeControl: Blinds - does that work?

I'm assuming the device is added to the User as well?

Shit... you've got me.. problem was in adding it to the user. Its now in the devices list and shown as blinds.

Hi, i'm using Domoticz for a while and would like to link it to Google Home as well. I have now setup a reverse proxy with Apache, so the url is domain.com/domoticz/. It looks like it doesn't work with Controlicz, can anyone confirm? Or share his/her settings?

I have recently bought a Daikin aircondition multi split unit which works with wifi. I can control it via the app and domoticz. Via controlicz the thermostat device is also controlable in google home.
The thermostat device in google home also shows the mode (heating, cooling, off). If I change it the log tells me this:

User: controlicz initiated a switch command (784/Slaapkamer - Airco Thermostat/cool)

Device 784 is the thermostat. The "mode" is a separate "selector switch" device with idx 783.

Is this a limitation of domoticz? Does a combined Thermostat / selector switch device exist or is it a limitation of the Daikin hardware driver in Domoticz.

Alternatively, would controlicz be able to map one google home device to two domoticz devices?

haha, glad to see the issue with non responsive devices is more widely spread and not on our side but on googles :D

just curious about something... i created a user for use with controlicz, called controlicz and specified this in my controlicz profile for connections.
however when i activate a switch from google home it states the following in Domoticz logs

Code: Select all

2020-07-28 20:42:12.892 Status: Incoming connection from: 35.178.116.149
2020-07-28 20:42:32.319 (Virtual) Light/Switch (Hall Rear)
2020-07-28 20:42:32.311 Status: User: Admin initiated a switch command (11/Hall Rear/On)
2020-07-28 20:42:47.639 (Virtual) Light/Switch (Hall Rear)
2020-07-28 20:42:47.631 Status: User: Admin initiated a switch command (11/Hall Rear/Off)
2020-07-28 20:43:00.840 (Virtual) Light/Switch (Hall Rear)
2020-07-28 20:43:00.836 Status: User: Admin initiated a switch command (11/Hall Rear/On)
2020-07-28 20:43:08.632 (Virtual) Light/Switch (Hall Rear)
2020-07-28 20:43:08.624 Status: User: Admin initiated a switch command (11/Hall Rear/Off)
should this show up as user: Controlicz. trying to work out where the issues could be.
does this appear the same for anyone else?

still the exact same, ive double checked the controlicz profile and im definatly using controlicz as the user to link into my profile.
im thinking this more a possible issue on the domoticz side of things?
