Compatible airconditioning systems

Hi all,

I'm in search to install several airconditioning units in my home, one in each room.
Ofcourse they need to get integrated in my Domoticz / Pass2php system so I can control them.

On the hardware page I only find 1: "Daikin Airconditioning with LAN HTTP interface". Can't be that Daikin is the only one having a good API I guess.
Therefore this topic, which brands have this? This will be one of the first things I look at to choose a brand. I don't want the same story as with my Bosh Easycontrol thermostat where a API is promised but isn't there 2 years later.

Things I'd like to control, in order of importance:
- On/Off
- Setpoint for each wall unit
- Fan speed
- Heating/Cooling mode

2 vendors made a visit at my home (Samsung, Fujitsu), but if I talk about this it's like they hear the thunder in Cologne...

Hey,

I was also going to ask a couple of companies to give me a quote. I need 4 or 5 indoor units and preferably 1 outdoor unit.
I would also like to be able to control them through Domoticz, have you found any new info regarding this? Did you choose a system yet?

Hi,

Do not only focus on a brand, which is mentioned in the Domoticz hardware list.
Other things, such as specs, look and price is probably more important.

If an API or even a script is available that collects the data you want to see in Domoticz, you can consider that as an extra advantage.

Currently we are configuring a Panasonic device to communicate with Domoticz.

I whent for a Daikin multi-split with 3 indoor units. They had great specs, good price and API.
