Novy 6810 Cooker Hood with....,433.x Mhz control!

Post by jadijkstra2000 »

Hi all,

As of today we have a new kitchen with a Novy 6810 cooker hood.
Very nice thing with LED lights build in. Control can be learned for an induction plate and also additional Remote Control.
As it is 433 Mhz I like to add it to Domoticz, but cannot find anything about it...

Anyone any idea? :)

Today I found out as well that Domoticz does not support the Novy hood in the RFXcom. That was a bit disappointing, because I bought the device specially for control of my Novy hood. With HomeSeer trial version ( 1 month valid) it is possible. My aim is to get a good voice control over the hood via Google home while cooking, preferably in Dutch. Sofar that works a bit clumsy. "Light on" switches the light on, but "Light off" does nothing. The Novy button is a toggle switch. So you have to say again "Light on" to turn the light off. I will test the setup for a month, but probably I am not going to purchase the rather expensive HomeSeer, where the RFXcom plugin cost another 40$. I hope the Domoticz team will integrate the Novy hood soon in their RFXcom support.

I found some time to spend on the Novy hood to control by voice (via Google and Controlicz). Finally I succeeded by creating dummy switches that call JSON commands:

First find the RFXcom idx of your remote. In my case 933. Then I use these json commands that have the same functions as the remote buttons.

My Novy Cloud Hood supports an extra function: "mood mode". With the button called "NOVY" the led lights can be switched to a dimmed preprogrammed light level. With help from the costumer support from RfxComm, I received a beta version for the RfxCom XL transceiver which now supports this button!
The remaining question is how to get the new button/function supported in Domoticz!

Does anybody know how?
