Custom Device Status?

Post by bulletcom »

Hi - new user here so be gentle...!

I've got Domoticz running on my Pi3 with an RFXTRX433 transceiver and Visonic security sensors.

My question is - the default status for each sensor - Normal/Alarm - can these be edited anywhere? I'm unable to change the device type on the Switches page for these...

Ideally I'd like my door sensors to show 'Open/Closed' instead of 'Alarm/Normal'

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,
David

Goto the sensor and hit the middle button, not "log" not "Notifications but.. "change?" mine is in dutch "aanpassen" :-)

Now change the switch type to door contact Voila..

Where? I don't have the 'Change' option on any of my RFX Visonic devices...

that's a possibility - but why do you get the change option and I don't? Are you using Visonic sensors?

Ok. I"ve checked my other sensors and I have the change option so I think it must be related to the Visonic sensors.

Maybe Bert is around and can comment.

Thank you for your help - greetings from sunny England :-)

I've emailed RFXCOM support -

Bert's replied: This is decoded with this text in Domoticz and if you want to change this please ask your question on the Domoticz forum.

Does anyone know how to edit the device status for a security device?

Thanks, David
