@MaffeMuis
What type of switch you do have linked to your laptop / Tv's / etc.
I only just started myself, but would like to know the state of my PC / or other devices.
Is this just a simple KAKU switch? Or did you do something else?

Re: Hardware pron pics
thx Derik,
About the smartmeter, I don't want it either and am eligible by Dutch law to decline the smartmeter.
For other Dutch people that are reading: Be aware that there will be a big roll out starting from 1 January 2015. It is mandatory by law for energy companies to propose the smartmeter towards the retail consumers they have until 2020.
Correct me if I'm wrong
Cheers,
Will

@Gusimelo
Can you share your code for embedding domoticz and emoncms in the same page? I'm building a touchscreen into my kitchen cabinet and also want to show emoncms dials alongside domoticz controls.
Thanks!
Mark

Hi,
Simple, I use two iframes, one for domoticz and the other for emoncms with the embed param, which removes everything but the dashboard itself:
http://emoncms.org/YOUR_USER_NAME/?id=D ... ID&embed=1
If you need further help, please let me know
EDIT: you'll have to make each feed and dashboard public to be able to embed the dashboard

I log energy on both; I use a network OWL, that has a multicast broadcast of the data... I use a python script that gets this data and forwards it to emoncms, based on this:
https://github.com/micolous/intuition/b ... rotocol.py
I also have a php script running periodically from cron that gets the temp readings from domoticz and forwards them to emoncms

S0 Energy Meter dashboard
Just another use of Floorplan. All S0 meters are read by Domoticz (with correction via a LUA script) and with current usage displayed on the "Floorplan"

Thanks Gusimelo
I've attached a screenshot of my first attempt. One question I still have for you - I'm also using an OWL Intuition-lc and have a python script running collecting the multicast data and uploading to Emoncms, however my script only seems to run for a day or so and then stops with an error. Can you send me the python script you're using?
Thanks
Mark

Re: Hardware pron pics
Did some changes on my script. Also I have an smart meter, so I make some tables to see the gas and power usage.
Its custom made with the json from domoticz and a mysql DB and own json commands.
Works great!

Indeed, would be great if you could share the code and how to do this. I could use this really good on a cheap 7" Android tablet (Colorfly E708 Q1, 55 euros) that i use for Domoticz.

Re: Hardware pron pics
Nice, where do you use it for? I have seen in French houses the lights are controlled from the metercabinet, with 'teleruptors' (a kind of relays). If you have that at your home it is quite easy to tap in with a relay board like you posted.

Re: Hardware pron pics
Hi ThinkPad,
i actually have these babies which are going to be used for my garden lightning
(my garden is quite big) and in my house i want to use z-wave (wich is going to be my next step.)
I have 11 DIN Relais for the garden wich will be mounted in a central cabinet in my garden. This way i can use two cheap UTP cables allready running there to drive those. The remaining relais on the 16 relay board will be used to interrupt the doorbell chime when i don't want to be disturbed and to switch the central heating. Some are not yet designated, but will be when idea's come to mind.

Going to think about it. Because it take some time to make this usable for everybody.ThinkPad wrote:Indeed, would be great if you could share the code and how to do this. I could use this really good on a cheap 7" Android tablet (Colorfly E708 Q1, 55 euros) that i use for Domoticz.
