PiFace Doorbell working 3 / 10 times

Hi all,

I have an RPI3 with Domoticz (stable) and a Piface Digital 2, for gas / energy montitoring, but.. also for my doorbell... the strange thing is however, 3 / 10 times (more or less), the input does not register the input strangly enough.. the button works fine...

I also tried the button on the PiFace itself, same story!

Any ideas why? I don't like the idea to create a wireless sensor or something, because the wires of the doorbell are already there... useless to go wireless when cables are in front..

But, it is very frustating when you expect a package

How is the doorbell switch connected?
Any PullUp resistor connected to the GPIO port used?

Well, to the question how it is connected.

Doorbell between ground and one of the inputs of the PiFace, and with an internal pull-up restitor, after pressing the door button, the input goes to 0....

I have the same sort of issue with MySensors now, maybe cabling...

So the Doorbell is actually just the switch at the door itself which does a pulldown of the GPIO port and you are not having the piface parallel with the actual bell itself. That should indeed be a simple thing.
