Steinel LED floodlight + lux + motion : help editing paramenters

Post by EdddieN »

Hi

Has anyone tried this device:
https://en.robbshop.nl/sensor-outdoorli ... einel-3388

It is a nice outdoor floodlight LED with motion sensor and Lux. I tis a bit pricey but really nice, I got it working with Domoticz as unknown, bu the basics (lux, motion and switch on/off) are there.

Anyone knows if this is supported on Domoticz with a patch or so?

Ok, it looks there's something already there:

https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave ... home-2.xml

Do I need to remove the device or when I add this file and restart domoticz is enough?

This is what I have done so far:

Screenshot 2018-12-01 at 23.24.51.png (29.54 KiB) Viewed 1147 times
and added to the manufacturer_specific.xml the following code:

Code: Select all

<Manufacturer id="0271" name="Steinel">
		<Product type="0001" id="1a73" name="XLED Home 2" config="steinel/xled-home-2.xml"/>
	</Manufacturer>
However when I re-start domoticz, still does not load the configuration file

You should maybe remove and re add it as I bought one earlier in the week and it added no problem whatsoever. Are you using a recent beta as I didn't need to add anything to the base code?

Using stable, it does work ok. Just the configuration for range of the PIR is not there?

Can you paste a screen of the settings you see?

Are you able to adjust the length of the sensitivity? The specs mention up to 15m, I'll be lucky if I get 5m. Is that the settings on your screen under "Sensibility" 0-100%?

That's my guess. Where mine is located i dont need to worry about range.

I did replace a previous security light and notice that this one is more sensitive to a door being opened (a good thing) and is also less likely to be falsely triggered by something like heat/light inside the house. There again I should have expected that as it was 4 times the price of the one it replaced.

There are additional devices that appeared when it was installed that I couldn't work out what to do with - what seems like a duplicate on/off switch and various alarm states. I'm just using the ones ending in 01 (switch), 03 (lux sensor) and one of the 35s (pir)

Did you manage to set the light ON or dim very low all night? I’m suing the light in slave mode with gateway check but it keeps switching off eventually..

I have to admit that I haven't tried that but I didn't think that dimming was possible anyway.
