Hi -
the issue with doing that is that it isn't a light - i'm guessing it doesn't behave like one in Domoticz (not really), i.e you can't set brightness, you can't change colour.
In terms of interacting with it in Google, you can still put them both into the same Room, and say "turn everything off in <room>" - if you start using the Home app, or a smart display, it won't return info, as it will be trying to return data the switch doesn't have.

Saying that, ping me your Controlicz ID, and i'll take a look :)

I have domoticz setup on a raspberry pi. Installed Controlicz on my phone. Created an account and have a subscription.
I can control the lights with my phone and Google Home.

All my devices appear.
But the blinds stay offline.

Someone any ideas?

Hi - sorry, does that mean you can't control them?

I can control my lights and also temp sensors work. But my blinds i can't control. If i set the blind to on/off switch in domoticz it seems to work.

Can i ask you to try something? Can you try saying the opposite (so on for off, off for on), i wonder if you're blinds are inverted, but i've missed the logic..

By the way, I'm having problems with Google Home recognizing blinds as switches. I see in controlicz that they are identified as blinds. How can I change the device type?

Is there any way that I can force to be blinds instead of switches?

In fact they are rflink controllers switch type, but I can't tell Google home to open a blind being a switch.

Hi dagasoft - *i* know they're blinds, but Google haven't released blinds as a native type (yet). So for now it's on or off, rather than open/close

Hello,

I have managed to setup Controlicz/Domoticz and Google Home app on my phone to work for my switches.
But my Blind shows as a switch and not as a "dimmer", is that working as designed ?

Hi - functionally, the Home app needs work - if it's a switch, you can only turn on/off, despite me having applied other behaviours to certain types of switch.
Can you ask Google Home to set percentages with your blinds? "Hey google, set the blinds to 50%"

Firewall question.... Which ports should I open for controllicz. I'm also doing geobased IP blocking, so which country should be allowed inbound access?

You should nat inbound connections to your domoticz port 8081. You can use any external port you want and then specify in controlicz config.

By the way, instead of using geoip blocking, you should only allow source IP from controlicz. You can ping controlicz.com to find static IP address.

bueno79 wrote: Tuesday 13 November 2018 10:22 hi,

In the same room I have zwave module and a RF wall plug. The first one control one light, the second another one. So both control lights. In Google home the Zwave module is seen as a LIGHT (cool) but the RF plug is seen as a switch. However in domoticz both are lights with the right icon.

How to force google home to see the wall plug as a light ?

best regards.
I am having several zwave wall plug, with lights connected, and all are the same brand and type.
Some of them appear as lights and some of them as switches.
If I look in the domoticz database they all are identical as type "Light/Switch" (244) and Subtype "Switch" (73)
If I look in Controlicz the they all are type "Light/Switch" but in the column Google/Alexa some are "Switch" and others "Light"

Anyone any idea how to change/influence that so all can be Lights?

I send you a PM.
Would it be an idea to have the user change the Google/Alexa type between Switch and Light?

I don't store your devices in Controlicz, for very good reason, so don't have the ability to inject different behaviours. Additionally, Google understands lights and switches differently, they have different behaviours.
