Magdimi: I have both alexa and google home.
but because the home is dutch now I want to use Dutch.

my devices have dutch names and in the description I use the command to give it an englisch name for Alexa.

would it be posible that alexa uses my englisch description and google uses the normal names?

Both alexa and google should respond to either the device name (whatever it's called in Domoticz) AND any 'friendlyname' - so whatever you use in the Domoticz Description field.
That way you can use either name in either alexa/google

I have now side loaded the new home app as it was not available on my phone yet
It looks rely nice and easy.
Now i can also see that all temp sensors are shown as a "thermostat", does google not support separate temp sensors?
And i can not yet control the thermostat from the new app it shows the ambient temp but this is actually the set point.

Now what?

I have tried to ask google to do something but only excuses ;) what's the syntax to do something?

Thanks

"Sync my devices" - discover devices
"Hey google, turn off <device>"
"Hey google, are the lights on in the <room>"
"Hey google, set the <thermostat> to x"
"Hey google, what's the temperature in the <room>/ of the <thermostat>"
"Hey google, dim the lights"
"Hey google, change the lights to <colour>"

Stuff like that. You can also use Google Assistant and type them

Thanks, I think this is where it goes wrong, asking to sync the devices gives "An error occured while synching My test app", any ideas?

I get Accounts are linked, but at the same time I get a message in the Google app, at the bottom, that Something went wrong?

Right, so finally Dutch language on my home mini through some form of magical apparition. Nothing really worked so removed and reattached. What's weird is that in can ask Google to turn all lights on and off but not individual rooms and not individual lights. It recognises no lights by name. Maybe because I renamed all of them in the home app from English to Dutch. Will retry with the controlicz name in the description field. Bizarre. All worked fine in English .

Several people seem to have issues so far with Dutch - scenes not being discovered is another. I'm hoping it's teething troubles, but have raised with Google Product owner

I noticed the scenes/groups thing. Bizarre that a language has any influence over how devices are treated...

It's discovering and returning them to Google, Google is just..ignoring them :(

Probably because they are too busy meddling with stuff they should really ignore

I have the same problem. Also noticed that RGB(W) are not recognized as such. They show as regular dimmable lights.

It's very annoying that scenes aren't showing in the app as I do almost everything in domoticz using scenes. What is strange is that they don't show in the home apps, but through the assistant app I was able to add the scenes to rooms. Haven't seen them anywhere since. I used this link to link the controlicz app to the Google assistant:https://assistant.google.com/services/a ... 8ba2?hl=nl

By first linking and then changing the settings (instellen) I was able to view the scenes. So Google probably knows about them but is ignoring them on purpose.
