I have a few temperature sensors already that I added ageeeeeeees ago.
Today I have a new temperature sensor I want to add.
However I can't see any option to add it. I can press add light/switch under 'switches' but in the dropdown there is nothing that looks like 'temperature sensor'. Under 'temperature', there is no add button although I see my existing sensors.
What am I missing?

Re: Can't add temperature sensor
What type of temperature sensor are you trying to add ?
Z-wave, Nexa, Orgon , ??
If you know it's suported, you can go to > Setup > Devices ... you might be lucky to find it there
If so, just click on the green arrow and give it a name ..

Given the small amount of information provided, did you enable Settings->Accept new Hardware?

Re: Can't add temperature sensor
Sorry, should have put more info.
I'm using an RFXCom Transceiver.
Not 100% sure what make this is, as it's an unbranded chinese one. I am hoping it will work as a rubicson as it seems many do, it's 433mhz so fingers crossed.
Don't you add temperature sensors in the same way as lights? Maybe that's why I am confused. I couldn't find anything on google explaining how to add it and I can't remember how I got the others to work (which were also unbranded generics).
Accept New Hardware is checked.
Edit: This is the badger http://www.rfxcom.com/oregon/en#alecto

Re: Can't add temperature sensor
Have you tried RFX-manager if this can 'see' the sensor? Normally a Temp sensor is automatically detected by the RFXcom if the right protocols are selected.

Go to > Setup > Devices ... IF it's supported it will probably pop up here...

Most of the RFXCom gizmos will just pop up on the device list, find it and ADD it to the used devices and it will pop up in the temperatur tab ...Don't you add temperature sensors in the same way as lights?

Re: Can't add temperature sensor
Ah, I see, thanks. It looks like this particular device isn't supported on my RFXCom433, only the RFXCom433E
