Milight gateway running on ESP8266

Post by Mooseknuckle »

Hi guys,

In search for a good solution for my Milights I found this neat project:
https://github.com/sidoh/esp8266_milight_hub
Just installed it because I had the parts lying around and it works like a charm. You can make a lot of virtual gateways and add them all to Domoticz so no more 4 zone limit. You even can spoof a gateway if you already have one. By far the cheapest solution with lots of possibilities:
- no zone limit
- rest api
- MQTT integration
- UDP gateway

Anyone had any luck using CCT bulbs with this? I can pair them to the ESP and control them via its web interface, but domotics doesnt seem to be sending the right commands. I've tried using all of the different bulb variants and changing the controller version between 5 and 6 but nothing works.

I can sniffer my bulbs and can add them. But When i want try to pair the bulb nothing happen. No flashing of bulb.
And how can i add unlimited zones. I see 4 groups and a "all" ?
