hey madgeni....
still an awesome project, just got it up and running again due to just getting a new phone...
did we ever get any traction with the selector switches?

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Madgeni:
I have trouble in understanding how to set this up. Is there any tutorial to explain from scratch how to set my rapsberry running Domoticz?
I also followed some steps but I got lost in the process regarding the SSL certificate. One of the requisites is to have a domain, how can I create it?
Sorry for asking rookie questions, but I love experimenting and do things myselfs I did a lot already but I want to have as a goal the intrgration of my domoticz with Alexa as a goal. But I have some challenges on how to get to the part to make my domoticz server visible on the net as well as getting the details to enter in controlicz.
Thanks in advance for your support.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi, and welcome.
Https is on by default, so you just need to forward your https port to your router. Maybe change the port number to something else .
You don't *need* a domain, but makes life easier, especially if your external IP can change. Try noip.com it's free ( and v easy).
Once you have that, the instructions on controlicz.com should be enough, but any issues, drop them in here.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Madgeni,
Works great, thanks!
However, I use my own domain with a reverse proxy routing internet traffic either to my Apache or domoticz web server. For Domoticz I use the "-webroot domoticz" option and the reverse proxy configuration is configured so that https://mydomain/domoticz/ passes all traffic to Domoticz and vice versa.
Unfortunately controlizc.com currently doesn't seem to support this (host: mydomain/domoticz/).
Would be great if controlicz would support this.
Works great, thanks!

Hi Ian - can you email me (via the Controlicz profile page) - there's a few people here using proxies, they've worked around it, but i should look to see what can be achieved.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi, I've successfully connected a fireplace with Domoticz, using the RFX-TRX433E, which acts as a remote (G6R-H4T16) for the fireplace.
I have made a switch in Domoticz (generic on/off) , which can send the on/off commands as well as fire up and fire down commands (for increasing or decreasing the flames).
And now I have installed Controlicz, through which I can let Alexa turn the fireplace on and off. So that's great! Thanks a lot to madgenies help!
But now there is this issue: I don't know how to let Alexa turn up or down the fire.
Commands that I tried:
turn up/down, set temp to.. degrees, set fireplace to 50%, lower fire place.... nothing seems to work. Has anyone any idea how to get the up and down functions working through Alexa?

Hi - just reset my password using that method - seems to be working fine? What step does it fail for you?

Hi Nick
Hi - if anyone experiences any issues, you may have to re-authenticate with Alexa/Google - I've been doing some Controlicz housework
Could you please specify what is needed todo. I am a littlebit afraid i do it wrong and have to setup alot from scrath.
It doesnt work here :
I have tested connection and it works.
I have discovered devices ,and no new devices found (of course)
Everything is working directly from domoticz.

Re-registering worked for me as well.
Had visitors yesterday evening ( in the afternoon it all worked ).
They where politely smiling at me "Poor old man.. shouting at a device" Nothing worked.... pfffff
Glad its restored again.. Thanks Madgeni for all the hard work you doing here for us !!

Same here, before doing the last thing I could think of (disable/re-enable) I checked this thread and there it was:
"Hi - if anyone experiences any issues, you may have to re-authenticate with Alexa/Google - I've been doing some Controlicz housework"
Thanks Madgeni for letting us know and for your hard work. When things suddenly stop working we all realise how much we owe you!

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi!
I ran into a small problem - Controlicz doesn't list any devices under the "devices" tab. The message says "No data available in table".
The connection from Controlicz to Domoticz works according to the website. I verified this by sifting through logs as well, relevant lines appear when I click the "Test button" on the website:
2018-06-04 06:38:50.461 Status: Incoming connection from: 35.176.67.167
2018-06-04 06:38:57.865 Status: Incoming connection from: 35.176.67.167
The device I'm trying to set up is a Tasmota running on ESP8266, using the old Dummy hardware trick.
Any insights?

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi,
My controlicz suddenly can't connect anymore. As far as i can see there was no update or anything. I used the the following setup:
my ip public:667 (which redirect to domoticz internal ip:443)
Now i noticed i can connect internally on the 443 port, but the external redirect does not seem to work anymore. Again there has been no config change or update. This setup did work for 4 days ago.
someone has a clue on where to look

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
can you disable the skill in your Alexa app, and reenable it?
or have i misunderstood, and this is more of a port forwarding issue?
