Google Home voice control for Domoticz: the easy way!
If you would like to control Domoticz devices (like Milight) with Google Home voice control here is an easy implementation:
- Assumption is that Domoticz is running on an RPi + RFXcom
- Purchase an ICS-2000 (Trust/Klikaanklikuit = Kaku), it will link the Google Home to Domoticz. Dutch website here : https://www.klikaanklikuit.nl/nl/ics-20 ... ation.html
- Link your Google Home to the ICS-2000 using the Google Home App.
- Setup Domoticz “scenes” to control your devices, set the activation devices for these scenes as Kaku compliant RF commands.
-Generate Kaku rf codes with the ICS-2000. Use these to activate scenes in Domoticz. You do not need any Kaku remotes or switches (It is not required to define a switch in Domoticz)
The communication path is now as follows:
(Voice —->(air)—-> Google Home —->(cloud)—-> ICS-2000 —->(rf 433)—-> RFXcom+RPi —-> Milight, Kaku switches, etc.)
That’s all. Now your Google Home can control the ICS-2000 which commands your Domoticz system.
Summarised: "Google Home plus ICS-2000" == "Voice controlled RF remote for Domoticz"
Works like a charm!

Did you look at Controlicz? Or was it a security issue? I would, humbly, suggest that Controlicz is the easiest way, and doesn't require any additional hardware costs

Yes. I have installed Controlicz. But encountered some issues.
Could you PM me. (I’m still not authorised to do so myself)

You can use ifttt and webhook
It is very simple. Try it!
You can call to domoticz API from webhook

I know It's an old topic but how did you generate de kaku rf codes?

@ stief
In Domoticz
Add Manual light/switch device
Hardware: RF Tranceiver
Switch type: on/off
Type AC
Use any code
Then learn this rf code into the ics2000

Re: Google Home voice control for Domoticz: the easy way!
Thanx for your awnser.
In de meen time I had solved this by creating a group (to switch the device in Domotics) and added a device, wich I created on de ICS-2000 at that moment.
Yout solution seems cleaner though.

Re: Google Home voice control for Domoticz: the easy way!
I like the idea but have a question on one of the steps:
-Generate Kaku rf codes with the ICS-2000.
How do you do this exactly in the ICS-2000 app?
I wasn't able to find anything to find something like this anywhere in the ICS-2000
in The communication path I think you forgot to mention Domoticz scene triggered by RF433 and sending commands to switches in the group:
(Voice —->(air)—-> Google Home —->(cloud)—-> ICS-2000 —->(rf 433)—-> RFXcom+RPi —-> Domoticz Scene --> (rf433) --> Milight, Kaku switches, etc.)
