I've looked through the Wiki and searched the forum but couldn't find an answer on a seemingly simple question:

Is it possible to change the font size for the calendar and if so how?

Thanks,

There is no wiki for this i did found lucky this:

I still need help. I can't move my blinds with arrow up/down. I'm using latest beta. Am I the only one with that issue or am I the only one using blinds?
I have an older beta version that is working with blinds, but can't use it because of other issues.
I investigated some changes in main.js but I don't know if that is the root. When that main.js is the reason, somebody might have a look into it and give me information which part I have to delete and/or change.

Hi,

Thanks for your investigation. I had a look at it and solved at least one issue with the blinds. There is a PR created for it. When it is merged, you can try it. It seems like there was an error in switches.js.

And indeed, I don't expect a lot of people to use the blinds, so that's probably why nobody noticed.

I noticed this too! But I thought this was related to the current timer-issue that Domoticz currently has. Hop this fix will solve the issue!

However, my blinds currently do work. They are displayed as a regular on/off switch. Pushing it a couple of times make my blinds close/open

Have two town to display on the dashbord for the weather

Post by pblois »

Hi every body

First i'm french and i'm sorry for my english.
I'am working on dashticzs for 1 month now. I really apreciate the software , it's very nice and I play with it with fun.

I'm living 50% of my time at the north of france and the other 50% at the south. So for that i would like to display on the dashboard the weather for two towns. I don't know if this can be done very easier (i don't think so). If somebody success to do it i will appreciate to have the solution.

Just a suggestion: Most of the solution are in the same post (general discussions), but now this post contains more than 157 pages. It very hard to read the complete post and find a solution. I suggest to open a different post for each problem.

Thank in advance for your answer.

Cool, good to hear. Just posted a message in the Bugs topic about a small fix that is coming, but that seems not to be necessary to have working blinds.

The column that displays the 2 solar panel blocks (39_1 and 39_2):

Code: Select all

columns[2] = {}
columns[2]['blocks'] = ['weather',88,'127_1','garbage','blocktitle_3','39_1','142_2','186_1','39_2','142_1','181_1',90]
columns[2]['width'] = 5;

jake wrote:Today I found time to prepare a fresh Dashticz on the sideline of my 'old' Dashticz that is from July 2017. Many things have changed/updated/improved, so I copied CONFIG.js and started modifying that according to the Dashticz WIKI.

Since I really needed it to get everything working 'the new way', I came across some outdated pieces of information, that obviously haven't been updated in the 'heat of the battle'. No offence, but since I came across them anyhow, I will mention them here for review and update of the WIKI:

http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Dashticz_V2_-_Installation
config['language']
- some languages are missing and in Sweden Sw should be Sv

http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Dashticz_V ... figuration
config['calendarlanguage'] = 'nl_NL';
- variable not explained, but seems to control weather dates and garbage pickup dates language. Was quite confusing, since I had a mix of Dutch/English w/o this variable

config['calendarurl'] = 0;
-variable not explained, no idea

config['hide_topbar']
- Topbar setup only referenced at the 'Custom applications' http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Dashticz_V ... plications
-- Either link to that section or move it from 'Custom applicatons' to Configuration or Positioning, since it isn't that of a niche, but an important 'block'
-- Or explain the topbar in more detail

config['app_title']
- Seems to be part of the Topbar, but not mentioned as so. The block definition calls it Logo?

http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Dashticz_V ... dby_Screen
Standby Screen
- var _STANDBY_AFTER_MINUTES still the old variable definition

http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Dashticz_V ... plications
Garbage collector
- Variables not explained
- Actual supported garbage companies not mentioned, I found them here: http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... 32#p132882
- I thought that in the garbage config, the original names like gft and rest had to reflect the garbage company way of naming them, so I changed gft into Gft and rest in Rest. The Garbage block didn't work, until I reverted both to gft and rest. Might be added to the explanation that these 'words' shoulnd't be modified (I read in the forum that these words check for multiple synonyms that the different garbage companies use)
Topbar
- Variables not explained
- Logo = app title variable?
- miniclock = date and actual time?
- settings = variable settings = settings + full screen?
- sunrise seems also to be an option, I found in the forum. Is not yet mentioned here

Settings 'on screen' don't 'stick' after 'Save', the site reloads, but the setting remain the 'old ones'. CONFIG.js is also not modified, although it takes all actual values from that file

Except the 'Settings' issue described above, I was able to get everything up and running again, so I don't need further explanation in this topic, but I hope someone with the rights to edit, will update the WIKI.

UPDATE 28-12-17:
The config describes Google Map parameters (the Wiki doesn't describe what to do with them), but I just found in the forum another way of adding the GM to the dashboard:
var maps = {}
maps.location = { height: 800, width:12, latitude: 40.4989948, longitude: -3.6610076, zoom:15 }

and used in:
columns[3] = {}
columns[3]['blocks'] = [maps.location]

I used to use columns[3]['blocks'] = ['trafficmap']
Is there a better place where I can post the proposal for Wiki improvements? I just checked the wiki and the information has not been updated yet.

Maybe you can update the wiki yourself?

Hi guys,

In some screenshots a see a dropdown list for setting a temperature in thermostat. How do I activate that setting. The + and - option is very hard to change from 10C to 20,5C. After few + clicks it is refreshed.

So Iam very curious about how to config the dropdown list.

(Ps thermostat is setpoint from Popp device )

Hi,

I am looking to make all my lights look\function the same, 2 of them a switch devices, so look different, the rest have had the sliders dimmed. I have made all my lights hover\clickable, as I prefer that over just clicking the light globe, I did this with a function that did the following.

Code: Select all

function getStatus_119(idx,value,device){
        $('div.block_'+idx).addClass('hover');
        $('div.block_'+idx).attr('onclick', 'switchDevice(this)');
}
I'm using getStatus as I have example of that for colouring tiles, I understand I don't need it as I am not querying the device as such, it works, but should I be using a different function?

My main issue is but the 2 switch devices look slightly different do to col-data, one being "col-xs-8 col-data" and the other "col-xs-10 col-data", I have tried a few things without success, could someone guide me on how I could change the -8 ones to be -10?

What do you think: turn the screen off or keep it on?
How does the screen last over months/years when always on? Power consumption?
Question
I'm thinking about buying a full license for my domotica tablet for using the camera/motion wake up option. Befor I do so: Can you tell if the screen switches off (low power consumption) or is turned dark or just uses screensaver in the sleep condition?

Answer from https://www.fully-kiosk.com:
you have both options in Fully Kiosk. You can configure to switch the screen off after some idle time or just dim (by putting dim:0 in Screensaver URL). Look for both in Device Management settings in Fully. Note that both will not make any energy profit as the camera consumes usually more than the screen when running permanently for motion detection.

I found a solution to my problem, I added the following to custom.css to change the width of the title.

div.mh.transbg.block_239.col-xs-3.hover > div.col-xs-8.col-data,
div.mh.transbg.block_108.col-xs-3.hover > div.col-xs-8.col-data {
width: 83.33333333% !important;
}

Hi,

I now have the issue that both the square AND the bulb are clickable, so if I click on the bulb I send 2 clicks, so I am trying to remove the click from the child object, but I just can't seem to select it, I have tried various things without success.

This line will work but I can't get a variable inside it so I can call it multiple times.
$('div.block_119 > [data-light]').removeAttr('onclick');

I have tried, the follow and more,
$('div.block_'+idx+' > [data-light]').removeAttr('onclick');
$('div.block_'+idx).children().removeAttr('onclick');
$('div.block_'+idx).find('*').removeAttr('onclick');
$('div.block_'+idx).find('[data-light]').removeAttr('onclick');

I am sure I am doing something simple wrong, anyone able to help?

Thanks,
