Hi,

I've been using the gateway and approx 10 devices for about 4 months without any real issue.

This morning I tried to add an additional body sensor but the gateway wouldn't add it with a 'failed to add child device' message. Trying to change the gateway light/colour/brightness wouldn't work with another failed message however the connection with domoticz was still fine along with it's communication with devices.

I reset the gateway (5 sec press) which still kept the devices but moved them out of my rooms however I was able to control the gateway.

I was then able to add the body sensor however it's not showing up in domoticz devices.

Any ideas?

I'm just guessing here...
New IP in the gateway?
New api-key for the gateway?
Try restart Domoticz. It's ugly, but it have helped me a couple of times.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.

I've checked the ip address and it appears to be the same as before as I set it up as static in my router. As for the api key for the gateway (assuming you mean the password found in the hidden mihome app setting) that has been re added.

Domoticz log keeps reporting 'XiaomiGateway: New Switch Device Found (015da7fa)' for multiple devices (more than i own) but still doesn't show the newly added device.

Anyone looked into integrating ConBee USB adapter in Domoticz to work with Xiaomi devices? Getting rid of the Hub would be nice.

but why? the Hub is cheaper than that ConBee.
besides, it also serves well as night light, doorbell, and alarm speaker.

It's risky. One firmware update can break everything if Xiaomi feels like it. It's also one more node causing delays and it' doesn't support other types of ZigBee devices.

As far as I am aware all the Xiaomi devices use a slightly modified ZigBee protocol, so your unlikely to escape the hub any time soon.

Interesting, corbin is probably the best person to answer the question, he has done most of the coding for the Xiaomi stuff.

I've come across this hub that claims to be compatible with the aqara stuff. Not sure on price or any other details as of yet though.

I saw that too, but it's yet to be released, no ETA and they seem to be pushing the pre release marketing.

Folks, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

On my Synology I installed
Synology Docker sdesbure image, version v3.8805
Synology Docker linuxuser image, version v3.8798
Synology package from http://www.jadahl.com/ (domoticz_avoton-6.1_3.0.8796-7.spk), version v3.8796
Windows Beta, Beta version v3.8805.

My Philips Hue is recognized everywhere!
My Xiaomi Gateway is only recognized in version v3.8796 (the Synology package). Meaning I get several devices, like MP3, Radio & Light.

But my Aqara Motion Sensor is only recognized as a utility from which I can read the LUX value. There's no switch that detects if someone walks in front of it.

Any idea how I can use the Motion Sensor in my Domoticz?

My Aqara Motion Sensor only detects motion (and battery status), not light. Maybe it's not the motion sensor at all?

Today I received an aqara wireless switch that showde up in the Domoticz logs as follows:
XiaomiGateway: unhandled model: sensor_switch.aq3

Is this a new type of switch? I updaten to the latest beta this morning by the way.
If it’s new, how do we get support for this?

I just ordered some of this kit, but for info, I noted there seemed to be 2 versions of the motion sensor. One with lux, one without. The newer one that is standalone I think does not have it, the older one with the wall mount does (I think...)

The new own (with the stand) does motion and lux, also branded aqara. The older one (no stand) only does motion, no aqara branding.

Also worth noting the newer one only updates lux when it sees motion, so only good for that area when montion is detected. It's also not great at low light, needs to be pointed at a door or window of a reasonable size.

I have one in my hall and laundry, both low light rooms and the lux sits between 0 and 2 all day, with the odd spike, pretty useless.

The one in the kitchen and bathroom, much lighter rooms work ok.

Most of the time I can control the Xiaomi switches with domoticz, but some of the time I can't and see the following message in the logs:
XiaomiGateway: unable to write command - Invalid key

The funny thing is that the key is fine, if I update the device with no changes, all works well again; The other funny thing is that I can always control the switches from the MiHome app, so I know the Gateway has WiFi and can see the switches. Does anyone have a clue what I can do to solve this issue?

I think it has something to do with the latest beta of domoticz.

New devices are added in the Mi app but domoticz does not respond.
I normally receive the status of my current devices and that is not working either.

Now I'm getting the following message: Error: XiaomiGateway: unable to write command - No device

2018-01-12 19:43:01.467 XiaomiGateway: stopped
2018-01-12 19:43:01.467 XiaomiGateway: will listen on 9898 for hardware id 5
2018-01-12 19:43:01.467 XiaomiGateway: Delaying worker startup...
2018-01-12 19:43:06.469 XiaomiGateway: Worker started...
2018-01-12 19:43:06.469 XiaomiGateway: Using 192.168.0.10 for local IP address.

192.168.0.10 is actually my domoticz ip address.

Cheers Will

I have a bunch of Xiaomi sensors working fine with the latest Domoticz beta. I just bought a pair of aqara water sensors (https://www.gearbest.com/home-smart-imp ... 68897.html) but looks like it is not yet compatible with Domoticz.
I see this in the log:
2018-01-12 19:12:58.922 XiaomiGateway: unhandled model: sensor_wleak.aq1
Any chance this device can be supported? I can help if there's anything I can further debug and report back.
