Hello Madgeni
Today I registered at controlicz with v*****@visuel.nl and tested the connection.
Could you please add me to beta in order to let me try things out on my google AIY voice kit?
Thanks for the awesome work!

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
I've been using Controlicz and Google Home for a few weeks now and it's working really well for me. I'm able to control lights (on / off / dim ), curtains (open / close )
A couple of caveats:
With heating: If I say 'Set the <zone> thermostat to xx°' there is a long pause followed by the response 'Sure, setting 12 thermostats to xx° and all my zone thermostats and radiator TRVs change to that value. Not the desired effect. I can easily rectify it as by changing the main house thermostat 'manually' it sets an override that stops the heating system from updating ( based on time, outside temp, etc ), so all I have to do is switch the override off and the system sorts itself out. so not a big problem.
Conversely, if I say 'set the <zone> thermostat to xx°' the response is 'Sure, setting the <zone> thermostat to xx°.
The other thing related to heating is that if I ask what is the thermostat set to? The response is 'Unable to reach kitchen thermostat, unable to reach kitchen TRV... this then continues for all the radiator TRVs and thermostat zones, then Google says the living room is off and the temperature is 21.7°.. and continues for all the temperature sensors in other zones. I have a tablet on the wall that displays the thermostat settings so it's not really necessary to be able to ask Google but I just thought I should mention it for completeness.
One final thing, which I'm sure is to do with Google rather than Controlicz is: I have a virtual switch called 'Evening Lights' that effectively sets a scene by switching some lights off, dimming others and switching some ( artificial ) candles on. on a few occasions I have ask Google to 'turn on the evening lights' and the response has been 'Sure, turning on 33 lights.' followed by various lights going on or off or changing colour, the curtails opening, the TV changing channels a few times and the volume being turned up. I seems fairly random and some lights go on then off or change colour a number of times.
It's quite amusing really and I'm fairly sure it's got to do with Google misinterpreting what I have said somehow and nothing to do with Controlicz.
I wonder if anyone else has had something similar happen, I have not found any mention of it on the interweb.

Hey Alan - what exactly is <zone>? is that a Google Room you've created, or is the name of a thermostat in Domoticz?alanlsmith wrote: ↑Wednesday 03 January 2018 14:36 I've been using Controlicz and Google Home for a few weeks now and it's working really well for me. Re: Evening Lights - that does sound very random - are some of the actions it does nothing to do with evening lights at all? What's the IDX of 'evening lights'?

Yes, <zone> is the name of a thermostat in Domoticz, I haven't set any rooms in the GH app.Madgeni wrote: ↑Wednesday 03 January 2018 14:41 Hey Alan - what exactly is <zone>? is that a Google Room you've created, or is the name of a thermostat in Domoticz?

The IDX of 'Evening Lights' is 330, I'm pretty sure it's purely a Google related thin, the first time it happened someone else spoke as I was telling Google to switch it on, so I assumed that it happened as a result of confusing sounds / words.
But other times it has happened when I spoken very clearly, that being said it's only occurred about 5 times, I think.
EDIT: I've just looked back on the logs and the last time it happened was 2017-11-16 23:31:46, so that was a long time ago and I don't think it's worth bothering with.

Can see a couple of requests for this, which definitely called that IDX, and only that IDX. Is this your IFTTT solution? Without wanting to point fingers at something else, don't suppose it's an issue in there??

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
No , this is purely Domoticz and the switch just triggers a script, not a scene but as it's Google that replies with 'Sure, turning 33 lights on', the script isn't getting actioned on those occasions.
But as I have just checked, it hasn't happened since November 16, I don't think it's worth pursuing.
Just for a laugh here is the log for that minute, the only human action was asking Google to turn on the evening lights.
Hang on... I have just noticed a possible clue. I had created a virtual switch called 'Unspecified lights' which does nothing and is triggered when Google hears just 'turn the lights on' ( by a google shortcut ) I was hoping that this might stop lots of lights being switched if Google didn't hear properly. and although 'evening lights' is switched as well, 'unspecified lights is triggered first as well as all the others., So, to me that would indicate that Google misheard and that's the problem.
I hope that makes sense, it did when it left my head and hopefully it continues to do so as it lands on the screen.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi Madgeni,
thanks for adding me to the beta. After assigning all devices to rooms in Domoticz I have successfully added some switches, lights, temperature sensors and Milights to the Google Home control so far.
They all work fine and I even get different icons for wallplugs, lights, temp. sensors and scenes. Great stuff. Syncing works nicely, too.
The biggest issue I encountered so far is changing the color of the Milights to white. Any other color works fine but I can't get back to white (or soft white, warm white or day light ).
When I change to red: Domoticz nicely transmits this:
2018-01-03 16:10:20.256 RFLink Sending: 10;MiLightv1;e452;01;2000;ON
2018-01-03 16:10:20.487 RFLink Sending: 10;MiLightv1;e452;01;2000;COLOR
2018-01-03 16:10:20.714 (RFLINK 433MHZ) Lighting Limitless/Applamp (Gästezimmer Lichtleiste)
2018-01-03 16:10:20.815 RFLink Sending: 10;MiLightv1;e452;01;00ff;ON
2018-01-03 16:10:21.036 RFLink Sending: 10;MiLightv1;e452;01;00ff;BRIGHT
When it receives the "change to white command" it says:
2018-01-03 16:11:15.581 Error: RFLink: trying to send unknown led switch command: 33
Have you come across this yet by any chance? At least I couldn't find it in the forum.
Btw. I use Domoticz on a Pi 3 and RFLink v.48.4 to control the Milights.
Cheers,
Thomas
thanks for adding me to the beta.
Cheers,
Thomas

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
I've just remembered that I've had the same issue with MiLight lamps, colours generally work but white / cool white / warm white doesn't. No errors from Domoticz, it just shows an entry for the lamp in the log. However the Switch in Domoticz changes from 'On' to 'Set Kelvin Level' see screen shot below but the actual colour of the lamp doesn't change.
Also when switching the MiLight lamps on with a script they sometimes come on blue or purple even when they were previously set to white and also when they are white the colour chart in Domoticz shows the 'dot' as being in the blue sector.
This has been happening for a couple of years ever since I first started using MiLight lamps so I've just got used to it.
I got round setting the lamps to white by using a Domoticz scene. So this is what I used to do the same thing when I started using Controlicz.

Hey all - let me take a look at setkelvinlevel - in lieu of any documentation on this api call, i pass it the actual kelvin level, I wonder if Domoticz expects something else..

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hope I'm not doubling up on work but I looked into this a bit and I think Domoticz accepts kelvin levels as percentages of 25%-50%-75%-100%, ( not actual kelvin values ), but only for newer MiLight lamps which have colour temperature control. I tried json calls of:
Code: Select all
http://127.0.0.1:8080/json.htm?type=command¶m=setkelvinlevel&idx=299&kelvin=25
However
Code: Select all
http://127.0.0.1:8080/json.htm?type=command¶m=setcolbrightnessvalue&idx=299&hex=fafafa
My lamps are a couple of years old and are RGB-WW so the only white is warm white.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
so, if you ask google to set a light to white, does it work? Not 'warm/cold' white - which would probably go via Kelvin, but simple colour switch.alanlsmith wrote: ↑Wednesday 03 January 2018 20:01Hope I'm not doubling up on work but I looked into this a bit and I think Domoticz accepts kelvin levels as percentages of 25%-50%-75%-100%, ( not actual kelvin values ), but only for newer MiLight lamps which have colour temperature control. I'd had a look at that kelvin level thing, but it seems - suboptimal..

Nope. 'Set to white' has no effect. Oh.. Other than showing 'Set Kelvin Level' on the switch in the Domoticz dashboard.

quick poll - selector switches - do you stick to the 10/20/30/etc levels, and do you always keep the default 0 = Off?

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Yes, that's what I use, although at the moment I only use a selector switch for the television source and I use virtual switches with scripts to change the selector switch. ( Makes for easier wording when adding Google ).
Yes, I know I'm a pain in the @®$€ as I never seem to do anything in a straight forward manner.

Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration
Hi,
in the meantime I did some testing and found out that this json command switches the Milighs to white:
https://192.168.2.9/json.htm?type=comma ... white=true
The question is now how to get Google to trigger and send this command?
Cheers,
Thomas
