Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration Topic is solved

so, I *might* be able to incorporate it into the Alexa skill. I wrote a skill for myself to control Kodi ages ago, but might be able to do something to wire it into Controlicz via Domoticz...
As Controlicz (for Alexa) is stable (i think?) - then I might get started on this.

Kodi skill would be awesome! I youse your controlicz skill and a trick to control kodi with alexa. I have some dummy switchs,that i put in the floorplan,they start some json links for kodi. So i can start,stop,...

Hi @madgeni,
since 4th of December controlicz skill is not working properly (at least for me).
At this day all my devices were off, so I checked the forum and found a post about same problem.
I re enabled the skill restarted router and domoticz and it was fine. But after a while (hour or so) I checked alexa app and devices were off again. I tried to use some command and on second try worked. From that day this problem is still here. I come home all is of. I re enable skill every day and is working. But after hour i have to repeat command 2, 3 or even more time until it works. By switching answer is always "OK", by asking on temperature reading is "not responding".
Can you help me? Its diving me mad.

Your Domoticz needs to be accessible via the internet - i would suggest implementing ssl https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Native_HT ... SL_support

Then in the Controlicz site you just need to provide:

domoticz IP/dns name
port no:
domoticz Username
domoticz password

So, if I am reading this right, I have to register a domain name to use this feature? If that is correct, can you point me to an easy/cheap way of arranging this?

i use noip - it's free, you just have to remember to re-authorise it each month (they send you an email)

I just noticed something else and thought I would check if it's just for me. When checking lights via the app, there is a message saying device is unresponsive. I'm guessing it's trying to get the status of the device as I'm still able to switch on/off/dim but the status in the first instance is always off.

Indeed it is for the lights now. however thermostats and temp sensors are now broken.
I'm at work right now so not able to test if they still work with Alexa, but will try tonight.

I've just had a thought. It will be nice if Alexa can report all the temperature sensor at once when I ask Alexa, give me the temperature of all temperature sensors. This may not be possible or too challenging

hi - it's not currently available via Alexa i'm afraid (i mean the functionality doesn't exist within Alexa for me to use)
