Do you have devices in a room plan?
Do you see incoming connection in the logs when running a discovery?

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
If you do not see any incoming connection, then there is a connection issue.
Are you sure your Domoticz instance is reachable for the Controlicz service (for the outside world)?
Have you checked your domain/address and port you have entered in Controlicz?

Are you using basic auth or the login screen?
I think this will only work with the basic auth.

Hi - PM me your email address, and i'll happily take a look (in the morning!)
I use the login screen - Controlicz doesn't care, as long as the username / password work, and that account can see your Host:Port, you have Room Plans (and you have devices in them)

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
It looks like it was a special character in the password that caused the issue. Resolved.mcwieger wrote: ↑Wednesday 15 November 2017 17:00 Last week I got Controlicz to work (removed https:// from server name, that was the issue). Discover. All devices were discovered. However, they did not work when I called them via Alexa.
I removed all devices in Alexa. I added some easy-to-call names in the descriptions in Domoticz (Controlicz: Lamp, etc). Tried to re-discover: nothing found.
Removed the descriptions. Discover. Still nothing.
Disabled the skill. Enabled again. Discover. Again, nothing.
What may have gone wrong?
I moved to HomeAssistant. It was fun while it lasted!

thanks for letting me know - will look into that, it shouldn't be an issue, but clearly is!

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Thanks for creating this excellent integration!
I'm having a few difficulties though
* I signed up on the controlicz site & can login.
* I'm using default port 443 which is forwarded at my router
* I created a user/pass in domoticz
* My Hue lights are controllable in domoticz (note no login prompt when logging in from local net)
* I created a room plan, with a single entry 'dining' for a test, which is linked to a hue group in domoticz which handles all 4 bulbs in this room
* I installed the alexa skill
However when I try to discover devices I don't find anything from domoticz (I do from sonos & hue.. to some extent... old v1 bridge)
Any tips for debugging? Perhaps finding out what's going on in the server? (search: cherrybyte .... )

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
So that I can create a security filter for this application, please specify exactly which URL's this app needs to call from Domoticz, eg:
https://domoticz/json.htm?type=command
https://domoticz/json.htm?type=devices
https://domoticz/json.htm?type=schedules
Then I can limit external access for controlicz only to the urls it needs on my server.

https://domoticz/json.htm?type=devices
https://domoticz/json.htm?type=schedules
Then I can limit external access for controlicz only to the urls it needs on my server.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
the top two should be enough for now - however caveat emptor. If i add new functionality that requires additional calls, you will need to make changes.
