@Jumbotroll
I have updated my SYNO 211+ to DSM 6.2 BETA. Is there also a version available for the DSM211+?
domoticz_88f6281-6.1_3.0.8153-7 is the last one I can find, but this one is for DSM 6.1
Thanks!
Klaas
UPDATE:
I was able to install and run the below version!
Version: 3.8687
Build Hash: 312e17b-modified
Compile Date: 2017-11-01 08:58:21

@klaas
DS211+ use the same kernel and toolchain on DSM-6.1 and DSM-6.2, so you can run domoticz compiled for DSM-6.1 on DSM-6.2.

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
Testing 8637 as we speak.
i discovered one nice detail (which i thought was impossible)
Fibaro modules should work without polling enabled (they do but they have serious problems when it comes to the kWh meters)
The Qubino modules however(with temp sensor) only could work with polling enabled, otherwise you could not get a temp reading.
Well i can tell you, at the moment my module works WITHOUT polling enabled. i do not know how but it seems to report both temp and kWh on a regular base. sometimes it takes a while to get a temp report but it will report instantly when there is a change in temp.
There is not even a setting for that in the module but it works.
Nice.
Also testing a workaround for the Fibaro modules so we can get steady kWh readings from those as well

Just some posts above yours:
jumbotroll wrote: ↑Saturday 07 October 2017 20:52You can "downgrade" Take backup of database and script (if you have any) and remove the domoticz package.
Then you can reinstall stable version and add your database again.

Good evening,
Im trying to setup the zwave network key, but cannot succeed.
It looks like the options.xml are not applied.
Nor in the settings of the controller nor via the openzwave control panel I can set the key
Without an enabled key I can't setup the danalock v3
I appreciate any kind of help.
Bram

Just wanted to let you know that I successfully switched from the beta to the stable branch using your instructions. Thanks again, Edwin!
Thanks for your reply! I just tested this; Blocky scripts are also included in the backup I made screenshots just in case, but there was no need to... However, better safe than sorry!Gravityz wrote: ↑Wednesday 25 October 2017 18:55 if you did not create any scripts(normal scripts lua scripts, blocky's) there is nothing to backup or restore.
blocky's however are not backupped as far as i know so if you created blocky scripts please take a photo before uninstall and restore
scripts are in the usr/local/domoticz/var/scripts directory

Thanks. Also discovered that blockys are included now.
Probably because they implemented dzVents which uses the same internal editor/shell

Just bought a DS218play. Its not on the list yet. Can I install another package, or have to wait till it is released?

I have compiled domoticz for DS218play.
You have to use the arch-rtd1296 version.
I have also added this version in the stable version list now.
DS218play= arch-rtd1292

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
I have a DS115. I install Domoticz Stable V3.8153 for DSM 6.1 with Python, it installed but it would not run. MY DS was running the latest version of DSM. I uninstalled Domoticz.
So i updated to the beta of DSM (DSM 6.2-22259) and tried to install the Domoticz Beta for DSM 6.2 with Python. This version wont install
I installed the Domoticz Stable V3.8153 for DSM 6.1 with Python, it installs but again wont run
(i dont know where to find the logfiles of domoticz)
Any suggestions what i might be doing wrong ?

If you install the domoticz python version, you also have to install Python 3.5.1 for domoticz to run.Jup99 wrote: ↑Tuesday 14 November 2017 20:55 I have a DS115. Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
Hello,
I use Domoticz on a DS211j NAS with an RFXtrx 433e. I'm experiencing some problems with the Kaku switches I use. Every now and then the RFXCOM starts throwing errors and stops responding to signals from the switches.
The restart that's mentioned is not effective obviously, because the error comes back every few minutes. When I restart the Synology, the problem goes away for up to a couple of days.
Elsewhere in the forum I saw this error has to do with persistent USB devices, but the wiki on that is specific for Raspberry Pi. I was hoping to stay away from hacking into my NAS on that level. Does this also apply to Synology and the Jadahl packages?

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
Hi,
First of all thank you Jumbotroll for your efforts in creating and maintaining synology domoticz packages.
I'm running domoticz on a DS213J (arm v7) installed as a package.
I'm trying to get my USB P1 cable to work. I can see it's there in dmesg (ttyUSB0) and I'm able to create hardware for it but I'm not getting any data or devices.
I therefore want to check if I can see data by using the command line interface (SSH) but I'm not able to achieve the following:
- I can't get CU to work on my synology, I've installed the entware package (opkg) and minicom but CU doesn't seem to be there. Does anyone know if it's possible to get CU or any other alternative that allows me to read and see if any data is coming from my ttyUSB0 port?
Thank you for helping me.
Kind regards,
Tim

Hi and thanks for the Domoticz package for Synology.
I am running Domoticz v3.0.8153-7 with Python support on a DS716+II. I have connected two usb devices, rfxtrx433e and an aeon labs z-stick gen5 to my synology. I am also using DSM 6.1.4-15217 Update 2.
Domotics run for about 40 hours and then segfaults,

Re: domoticz in synology as package! Available now.
@magny
There is no need to update USB drivers.
My domoticz packages include the latest drivers.
I have never seen this error messages before and don't have a solution, but you can try to type: sudo killall synousbmodemd
If you reboot your NAS you will type it again.
