same problem here...Zap wrote: ↑Saturday 19 August 2017 22:56 Hi Madgeni,
I've tried the german version of Controlicz and it works really good except one thing.
Don't know if someone is mentioned it already but when I ask for temperature in a room, Alexas pronunciation is not correct.
She's saying it like a date because she get the value with a . seperated and not with a , as it is usual
It is possible to convert it in the german skill or is there another way to change this behaviour?
Thanks

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hello,
I have two questions:
Can I use this solution with Alexa Dot 2?
Can I install this solution in ubuntu 16.04.3 server?

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
I have it running with the latest Alexa Dot (one week old).
I'm using controlicz.com service and domoticz on a raspberry pi.
I did not need to make any changes on my pi. I did need to open my https port on my router. So my guess is: this should work.

Hi, yes it will run on any echo.
There's no install, as korneel says, you just need to be able to access your Domoticz using HTTPS from the internet, then register with www.controlicz.com, and enable the skill in the Alexa app

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Hi Madgeni,
I am very interested in google integration, particularly getting responses from Domoticz, I am able to using commands using IFTTT, but would love a bi-directional solution, and even better if I can remove the dependency on IFTTT.
Anywhere I can follow your progress without filling up this Alexa thread?
Thanks,
Wob

I lost count at the number of times I searched through the skill section on the Alexa app with envy at other far inferior products that had proper skills.........you have put that right!
Really appreciate your hard work.
Thanks

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Not sure what has been said in forum however:-
Firstly this is a great implementation. I primarily us Homebridge to control Domoticz. I had a Dot lying about and gave his ago and works great. Also prompted me to change over to HTTPS which I should of done a long time ago.
Firstly how does the rooms come into it? I have rooms setup up, including Living Room. My devices are names Living Room - Wall Lights, Living Room - Ceiling Lights etc.. In Homekit I assign them a new name and set their room. Does the Living Room - Wall Lights, which is set in the Living Room Plan in domoticz cause issues?
I have found that adding Alexa_Name: to the device description allows you to change the name.
Just wondered how the rooms work with the room plan? Is it similar to Homekit? If it is then I can work out how to sort it.
Many Thanks for a great plugin

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
hi -
I use Room plans (at people's request, i think from the HA implementation) to control discovery of devices from Domoticz into Alexa. I don't discover the rooms themselves (they have no function other than grouping), only the devices inside them.
Is that what you were asking?

So the rooms have no function. For example. I can't say turn on the wall light in the living room? It doesn't understand rooms as such - just device name.

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
that's right, if you call it Living Room Wall Light (using alexa_name) that would do it.
It does understand Groups and Scenes (Groups - on/off, Scenes - on)

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
So I think I know the answer, but is there any way to not port forward to my domoticz pi?
I have openVPN setup on my router, so I have been using that to access domoticz when I'm not home, and it works great.
Am worried about security if I open a port for this.
I would like to try installing the alexa software on a pi zero I have, and see how it works there.

Hi - i don't believe so, but i've never tried configuring Domoticz via a VPN and then accessing the API.

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
Madgeni,
I'm trying to add this device to Alexa, using Controlicz:
But to no avail..
It's this device:
https://www.gearbest.com/living-applian ... 44666.html
Is it possible for you to include this one as well?

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration
I'm looking at https with letsencrypt. I tried a while ago to create my own certs on my pi and didn't have much success, so hoping this will go better.
If I can get letsencrypt and domoticz working, I would be OK to open one port for controlicz to my pi.
But don't I have to give you the letsencrypt cert?
Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, I know just enough to be dangerous, I'm a HW type by day.
