@domotibart: merging currently only works for utilities.
@qwerk: it looks like something is still wrong with your cache.
If you mean curious instead of curcious ;) ; this is what I meant.

In dashboard such as Dashticz and "New Frontpage" it is possible to show some camera feed on the frontpage/dashboard.
I would stay as close as possible to the original versions of Domoticz but I like features such as camerafeed, buienradar and so on too.

Or is it allready possible and did I overlook it ?

blauwebuis wrote:@pj-r: interesting. Are you having the issue on a tablet? So it might be a mobile mode that is influencing things. Hmm. But I can't reproduce the problem. Did you also copy the files over the old ones, instead of first removing the WWW folder?
// I CAN however reproduce the problem where the mobile settings isn't stored by the interface. That a bug, but I'm not sure if that is because of the theme. The theme shouldn't influence how that works.
Yes I had that on my tablet with resolution of 1280x800. Currently no problem since ripped off the Android from UserAgent mobile checks.
I was able to reproduce it on desktop chrome browser. Just went to mobile emulation mode(F12 and then CTRL+SHIFT+M), selected iPad Pro and hit refresh(F5 or SHIFT+F5) then activated the switches tab and it was messed as in the screenshot.

I did rename the old folder to www_old and copied the new from zip.

One thing to mention is that I'm using finnish translation but I think that should not affect the layout.

I just had a strange problem with endless queries:
dashboard_endless_loop.png
dashboard_endless_loop.png (259.39 KiB) Viewed 4648 times
I left it open for a hour(or two). Then went back to dashboard and this happened.

edit:
Could this cause the problem?

Code: Select all

addDataviz = function () {
....
setInterval(addDataviz, 600000); // updates the dataviz every 10 minutes.
..
}
Should the clearInterval be used when entering before adding it again?

edit:
I think its about that:

@curious: currently a live camera view isn't built in in that way. But I do think you can add a camera via Domoticz and see the output? I have tested that with an IP camera a while ago. But I'm not sure it's what you mean.

Adding something like that, and Buienradar too, that would be great. I've been thinking that Domoticz could use some kind of plugin system that would add new items like that. Perhaps a buienradar 'device' could add a visualisation under the weather tab. But someone will have to build that. Form there it should now be much easier to style that on the dashboard, as all 'items' now have good CSS classes to target them.

@pj-r: thanks for the help! Could you perhaps create the JS code that would fix this problem? If you have a github account you can even add in the changes here: https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/bl ... troller.js

- The Russian text overflow has been fixed in the latest code.

About the errors: it's might be because the GUIWORK code is not completely up to date with the normal Domoticz code.

Ok, I've been able to reproduce the problem. Indeed it happens on the latest version of Domoticz when using a tablet. I'll look into it.

Great job!

Hope to see a option to update the "refresh" of the index faster in the future.
It is updating some states every 10 seconds or something, wish you could change this to 1 second.

Yesterday I reinstalled my raspberry completely.

Small update: the new theme will be part of a bigger push, somewhere after the holidays. That push will also include the new DZVents updates.

Super, I can't wait!
Would it work if I just copied the https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/tree/GuiWork/www directory from Gitub?

Looks really nice!

Would the app get some redesign to match this in the future? I am really not a fan of the app right now. Would be great if app and web version looked somewhat similar to give a nice feeling.

@Bikey: yes, that should work. Just follow these steps:
https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... 20#p140163

@ehallq: There has been no contact about this, but the app builders are free to copy the design. Personally I think the app's current design already looks great.

When will it be integrated on the beta (eg development branch)? ISo it will be easier to test if you also need stuff from the development branch.

Gizmocus is working on it. It's out of my hands a bit, so I don't know when exactly.

Small fun update: the latest beta allows for themes to come with their own icons.

Domoticz will first look inside theme/images folder, and only if it can't find the image there will it look in the 'backup' folder.

@blauwebuis first of all my compliment for the work that you are doing On the new skin!

I have a small question, does the merge of sensors work Within the latest version of domoticz? Or do i need to install the beta for
That?

I'm run now the latest stable version , but I want this theme (look's perfect).
Can I install only that theme or must I update to the latest Beta version?

blauwebuis wrote:If you want to try/test it already:

1. Download the zip file here (green button):
https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/tree/GuiWork/

2. As a user on your server, replace the WWW folder in your Domoticz folder with the one from the zip file.

If something somehow goes wrong, just restart the Domoticz installation and choose the update option.
Followed the instructions, browser cache was automatically refreshed. This looks amazing. Very nice. :D
Now I wonder let's see what it looks like on my mobile phone. :D
