This PC is not so expensive in compare with other models, but anyway you can play the most popular games at max settings without a problem.
What else needs gamer for happiness?

Now running Domoticz on my Synology NAS, but I'm thinking of moving it to a Raspberry PI.

Would really like to get Domoticz running on my Synology NAS connected to my HomeWizard. The Syno is on 24/7 so no extra Watts to be burned. Domoticz is running fine (or so it seems). If I could only get the script from @Wobbles to work...
Edit: Got the plugin working
Just had to place it in the folder /usr/local/domoticz/var/plugins/HomeWizard (the last folder name is completely arbitrary
) BTW the location is the same as /volume1/@appstore/domoticz/var/plugins/HomeWizard

Is i need to start over them it will be a nuc rubbing vmware. Domoticz will then be on Ubuntu and probably the nuc will run some more virtual machines.

Re: Domotica, PC or Raspberry Pi or ...?
I have a Synology DS916+ with 8GB RAM which I use as an Audio (LMS) and Video (Kodi) server but not for Domoticz. It's not a full Linux machine and I just felt that for 100% flexibility with home-automation I should have a real Ubuntu box. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see the RPi as a little light, so I use a NUC5CPYH (which consumes just 6W) for Domoticz. All the compute-power needed for tons of cron jobs and full Linux. They are not *that* expensive, those low-end NUCs - for under EUR 200 you can put 4GB RAM and a decent SSD inside. WiFi, BT and ETH are already standard, as is CIR so you can also use it as a Kodi player if you like. The NUC6 and 7 families even have a MIC array to mess with speech recognition directly.
Sometimes having a nicer solution is worth a few bucks more, just my 2 cents...

I'm running domoticz on a pi, and it works great for me.
My system is pretty small, so at some point maybe I'll want more horsepower.
To me, I like the the pi is small so easy to find a place for it, and that it doesn't use much power. Power is important since it runs 24/7.
Overkill is not always best lol
