I understand but for me no problem. I have in the Device list 80 devices too, but no problem for me.

Then you just don't add these

I suggest to keep it the way it is. That is how all battery sensors are displayed in Domoticz.

Why not just let people decide and put it back in. And if you don't want separate battery status: don't add the devices. If you do want them: add them.

In my opinion this is off topic. If they're in the device list you can get very long lists. Domoticz decided about a standard and keep it that way is my opinion.

they come in the utility list, so you do not bother if you do not come

I'll add it back in on my fork, so will have the integrated battery level with the device, and also a separate voltage device.

Hi everyone

I finally figured out why my connection to Xiaomi Smart Plugs wasn't working despite several updates and trials
I had initially my raspberry 3pi B connected through wired LAN to the router (I thought that was the best and safest way)
Then I read in the troubleshooting guide that WiFi connection is better, so I disabled the wired LAN eth0 using this command:

sudo ifconfig eth0 down

and connected using WiFi, thereafter everything seems to work properly.

I just recommend to update the Troubleshooting guide as in my case detection of all devices was correct, the problem was in writing/sending On/Off commands to the plugs

I have seen the question has been asked several times: does the Xiaomi plug work as a repeater? I think I tested it thorougly and can say NO.

I tested it with playing a sound on open/close of one of the door sensors. If I don't have a Xiaomi plug plugged in, the point it still works / doesn't work anymore is in the addict, just after a door (door open). When I put a Xiaomi plug only 3 meters away (direct line of sight...not sure if that matters but just to say there is no concrete or something in between), and the plug has connection to the Gateway, the range if the window sensor is exactly the same.

Did anyone else came to the same conclusion?

StefanoA I had exactly the same issue. I was using an RPI one with wired Ethernet and I was having weird behaviors from Xiaomi devices. I've tried a Rpi three and had the same thing. Once I've switched the wired connection off and used the wireless connection, everything start working as it should. It's really weird! I was wondering how I could debug it a little further because a Rpi one is more than enough to use with domoticz.

jelleeelco my tests on using the plug as a repeater were actually really bad. I think it does something but what it does doesn't work really well My tests (and what I've read in other forums) are that we shouldn't rely on the plugs as repeaters. Be happy to know about more user experiences..

Both lan and wi-fi are in bridge in the same subnet or they are not and have different subnets?

murtadin in my case they were exactly on the same network (subnet). I was also having issues when I had the Xiaomi connected to one AP and the RPI to another, and both are on the same network.

So, I had to physically change the Xiaomi gateway to be close to RPI and ensure they were both using the same wireless network.

Any ideas why humidity is not the same in the standalone device as in the temp + humidity device?
