Otgw doesn't work anymore

A few hours ago the otgw did work. but I must clean up the mess so I put out the plug. And when I was done in put the plug back but now the otgw doesn't work with domoticz. I got messages from the otgw but he doesn't update the info

Where can I send that I have tried in domoticz by the hardware page, and the esp-link and also otmonitor

You can send on hardware page or ESP-link, if it's successful you'll see "PS: 1"
If you don't see this message, there is something wrong with the communication from the ESP to the Gateway

Ps=1 didn't work so I deleted everything and start from scratch and now everything is up and running

My OTGW stopped working a few weeks ago as well. I have tried removing and re-adding the OTGW hardware in Domoticz. I also switched from using it via serial (rpi /dev/ttyS0) to using it via TCP/IP with the otmonitor-ahf in daemon mode. This allows me to monitor what is going on.

I can now see Domoticz fire 4 serial commands shortly after one another:

This generates at least one error (PR: SE) and the response to PS=1 seems to be skipped all together.

If I manually send PS=1 I get this, the SC command works but still no response to PS=1:

I noticed the first time I send a command after Domoticz has pushed its quartet of commands I get an error. This seems to be the case every interval. See my annotations using >>>> (x):

Annotation:
  1. My manually submitted PS=1 works fine
  2. The first command from Domoticz (SC) works fine
  3. The first command after a the previous Domoticz quartet failes
  4. Again...
  5. My first manually submitted PS=1 just after Domoticz's quartet failes
  6. My second command succeeds
  7. And again the first SC command succeeds
  8. And again the first SC command failes right after Domoticz's quartet
I haven't looked in this detail to the OTGW communication before (since it worked fine) but it seems the four commands from Domoticz generate a problem in either the otmonitor (as conduit) or in the OTGW hardware itself (I suspect the latter since the direct serial connection didn't work eiter). I could not find anything about command queueing on the otgw pages.

My next experiment would perhaps be to compile Domoticz and change the rate at which the commands are fired. But that would be a long route for me.

While compiling Domoticz on my RPI3 using 'make -j 3' the thing seemed frozen ('make -j 2' works better, uses less memory it seems). After a power cycle of my RPI I noticed the gateway works again?!

I power cycled the OTGW hardware before. I had also restarted Domoticz before and even rebooted the RPI3. I will keep a close I on it.

How did you connect the OTGW to your raspberry ?

to see if it still works with domoticz try to install otmonitor on your rpi3.
check if the otgw is working fine.

After a yes, enable relay and point domoticz to the relay server.
If you start to receive correct data you know OTGW is still working fine and we need to look for a different solution.

it still should work after a reboot as mine is now also connected to a raspberry pi 3. (domoticz on different machine)
