DAHUA IPC-HFW1320SP and ONVIF

Post by Ritmeester »

I have a strange problem with my cameras and the ONVIF settings.

My hardware:
Old (test) Raspberry Pi 1
Dahua cameras Model: DH-IPC-HFW1320SP
Latest beta release from Domoticz

I was trying for several hours to find the ImageURL on internet and was trying a lot of combinations used by Dahua cameras. (i-spy and so on )

I test the ImageURL’s always in my Chrome browser and combine them in Notepad.

Nothing was working and after several hours I found on a small forum the correct URL:

Code: Select all

http://[IP-ADDRESS]/onvifsnapshot/media_service/snapshot?channel=1&subtype=0
This URL is asking me in a browser for a login and when I give my credentials I get a snapshot. Pfffffff…… ! :-)

But in Domoticz this doesn’t work. I fill in all the settings (several time's , maybe a typo) and get nothing. No image from the camera and when I take a snapshot this is only 2 bytes.

If someone can help me whit this problem please write it up.

The strange thing is: if I disable ONVIF on the camera all is working fine but with NO credentials anymore. In Domoticz the snapshot is working and in the browser also with no credentials.

According to the ONVIF Device Manager the ONVIF version is 2.4.0

In this case I can’t open my router for this camera’s because no credentials for a snapshot and maybe more.

Why with ONVIF enabled this is not working in Domoticz?

I still have some problems with my cameras and taking a snapshot.

Camera model: Dahua IPC-HFW1320S
Domoticz version: 3.5273
Browser: Chrome

I use this url in the browser:
http://192.168.10.221/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi

This is working and I must login to get the snapshot. So far so good.

When I set this settings in Domoticz it doesn’t work. This are my settings in Domoticz:

When I click on the button Snapshot I get a jpg file from 1kB. If I open this file with Notepad++ I see this:

Code: Select all

<html><body><h1>404 Not Found</h1></body></html>
Why this is not working?

After a long time of testing and searching on the internet I had no success to getting this to work.

It works now :-)

I needed to remove the first slash in the ImageURL. I have two systems here and it works now on both systems.

Hi, I came across this post, that helped me in the right direction to finally get my Dahua IPC-HDBW1120EP-W up and running in Domoticz.

The following seems to work when you test the connection, but not in practice:
cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?user=#USERNAME&pwd=#PASSWORD

Using this onvif url I can now capture snapshots and video:
onvifsnapshot/media_service/snapshot?channel=1&subtype=0?loginuse=#USERNAME&loginpas=#PASSWORD

Onvif authentication is switched off in the Dahua settings, but the USERNAME and PASSWORD are still needed in the url, so I suppose it's safe.
