Hello there,
I have been using Domoticz with Z-wave for a while, even had a number of setups done from scratch, but the following issues seems to repeat over and over:
1.- For some reason, regardles of the hardware used, from very randomly the Energy reading jumps but not the power. See attached, any one experienced this? I'm using a mix of Aeon, Fibaro and TKB
2.- Battery operated devices like the Fibaro eye, will stop reporting for no reason after 2 moths. The sensor still "blinks" when motion is detected but no new data on Domoticz. Looking at the status from hardware, it says is sleeping and last comms were just a few minutes ago, yet on the dashboard it was days ago. Looking under control panel I can see that data is cached but the "last heard" was minutes ago.
3.- A Foxx project socket/plug went offline for a few days and if by magic came back online ok. No idea why, the only thing I can think is that it may have gone into a deep sleep mode as it was no energy used or interaction with the ON/OFF switch?
I would be interested to hear if I'm only one to have these issues or someone else had them and they are ok now?
I'm using a Pi 3 with the Razberry board.
Can anyone give their opinion on Z-wave connectivity?

...I try a guess....
interference in the 868Mhz?
have you tried to heal the network?
what version are you using?
from Jan 2017 in the changelog you could read:
- Removed: Razberry ZWave handling method. Existing users need to migrate to OpenZWave

The most dangerous phrase in any language is:
"We always done this way"

Re: Can anyone give their opinion on Z-wave connectivity?
Hi,
Thanks for the speedy feedback.
I'm using 3.5877, and as far as I know I don't have any other 868Mhz radio around, only a few Hue's but those run on 2.4Ghz right?
yes I have tried healing the network, in fact I thin in the past I had it automatically done every night but... not sure where or how I did it now. I'll keep trying.
Regarding moving away from Zwave, yes I'm using Zwave handling, I guess I have to move to: https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... 4&start=40 ?

Re: Can anyone give their opinion on Z-wave connectivity?
A bit of an update, after a few weeks trying to reconnect the fibaro sensor without having to re-pair I tried to put the fibaro sensor into inclusion without resetting. Domoticz saw it straight away and added it as a new device. This makes me wonder: Do some z-wave devices loose their configuration?

That is not my experience. I have 2 fibaro Eyes and they have been working for months now perfectly for motion detection.
Only the lux sometimes seem to lag.
The yellow line in your screenshot shows the instant power-consumption at a particular moment. It looks like this is a lamp that has been switched on and off?

Right, re-installing my system now, a bit confused with two options:emme wrote:...I try a guess....

Is it this one: https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... =20#p89074
or this one: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Installin ... spberry_PI
for Z-wave?

Well... after faffing for a long while I concluded that with the PI 3 and the Razzberry 2, this is the only way I can get it to work:
