Door sensor are detecting when open, but do not detect the closed (when the status is correct according to Xiaomi apps).
Same for motion sensor that are kept in detection for ever.

... and Buttons (the round ones) just detect one single action. If you click once and double tap after this, only the "click" was recognized.

work around is to edit the switch and put an 'Off Delay' value of 1 second in.

Hi,

I tried domoticz today for xiaomi gateway but unfortunately I can't see the devices.

Domoticz (beta version) runs on my imac with OSX sierra 10.12.3.
My gateway is v2 (or v3 ?),it has the radio.
dev mode is ok, I have the password and enabled access.
Ip OK port 9898.
Domoticz can see my hue devices.

My logs :
2017-03-19 21:58:10.508 XiaomiGateway: will listen on 9898 for hardware id 2
2017-03-19 21:58:10.509 XiaomiGateway: Worker started...
2017-03-19 21:58:10.509 XiaomiGateway: Could not detect local IP address: connect: Can't assign requested address

I've read many posts (not all sorry !) but I haven't see anything that helps me.

Please help.

And thanks for you're great work corbin.

Not really a workaround since I need to detect both the open and close action on my door sensor. The Xiaomi gateway allows to have both trigger when the sensor detect the door is open and when it's closed. This is something important when you want to check that a door or windows is effectively closed. It was orking fine until today where the last 2 update I made was causing issue...
The first update I got today (which is not the last one) made non of the sensor being detected (neither when open nor when closed).
With the very last beta update, I have the open trigger which is catch, but when the door goes back closed, domoticz is not catching it when the gateway does.

I agree for the mention sensor for the workaround, even if this is the same behavior at gateway level so I did not need till then... but it seems according to the log gateway in the xiaomi apps, it seems that this is no longer the case on the gateway

I was only referring to the wireless switch buttons. The other sensors send the off/close state.

Install https://www.wireshark.org/ and see if OSX is receiving the UDP Multicast packets (I can help with this later if needed), these can be blocked on the router, or system Domoticz is running on.

So you have removed ALL the duplicates, and still have problems with device updates?

I did update to the 3.7041 and remove all the door sensor... I don't know if this is expected but the name of the sensor I gave within the xiaomi apps are no longer in the device section of Domoticz. I only have "unknown" item... not that cool to setup back my 8 dooor sensor... Let's try with the first one.

So, the door sensor are not more automatically set as sensor, but as light switch... Was it expected?
Then I still have the issue with the closing of the door. Domoticz takes the trigger when it is opening, but when it gets closed, I do not have any feedback taken by Domoticz, and the "light switch" remains ON.

you have a heap of duplicates there, eg ID 0110BC90. All the devices listed as Unknown and CustomSwitch, delete them.

make sure each 'ID' is unique.

I've installed wireshark but don't know how to deal with it.

Maybe, one thing important :
My internet box has a ethernet lan 192.168.0.x
My wifi router (xiaomi router 3) is plugged on internet box and has a lan 192.168.31.x
My imac is plugged in ethernet 192.168.0.x
The xiaomi gateway is in wifi 192.168.31.x

I turned on the wifi on imac to get a 192.168.31.x address but it still doesn't work.

There is the problem, Domoticz and the Xiaomi gateway must be in the same subnet.

Tick the check boxes at the very left of each row, then click the trash/delete icon near the top. It is small the small blue icon - not very obvious.

Thanks ! I've unplugged the ethernet on imac and it works, I can see the devices (door sensor, motion sensor, Temp, gateway) but not the switch (?)

Is it specific with xiaomi gateway ? because Domoticz and my hue system are not in the same subnet and it works...

Thanks again

It can be something with IGMPsnooping. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IGMP_snooping
What can be the case is: A switch will, by default, flood multicast traffic to all the ports in a broadcast domain (or the VLAN equivalent). Multicast can cause unnecessary load on host devices by requiring them to process packets they have not solicited. When purposefully exploited, this can form the basis of a denial-of-service attack. IGMP snooping is designed to prevent hosts on a local network from receiving traffic for a multicast group they have not explicitly joined. It provides switches with a mechanism to prune multicast traffic from links that do not contain a multicast listener (an IGMP client).
With switch is meant a network switch (or the switch in your router).
With denial-of-service attack is not really meant a DOS attack but in your network you will have a look alike. Because of that your network can freeze. You reset it and the process starts again till the moment it freezes etc etc.

But it is just a guess. If you can do something with IGMP on your router you can give it a try.
