That's v6. Also known as the iBox(1). iBox2 is v6 without the lamp (looks similar to v5).

No luck here... Upgraded to the latest BETA version, Domoticz does see the iBoxV6 hub, but I cannot turn on my lights. I guess I will need to wait till development has finished completely...

All basic functionalities have been confirmed working since the quote above so there is probably something wrong with your setup, port number? :)

Which bulbs you are using and to which "remote model" have you paired them with the app? What type (RGBW, RGBWW) have you been using in Domoticz or you've tested all types? Have you tested if you could pair them with any of the switches created by Domoticz (turn on the physical switch, then click "On" from one of the Domoticz switches)?

Sorry, my fault. I have RGBW bulbs but wrongly specified RGBWW as mode. Working now :). Great!

Easy made mistake, had the same problem: even though my bulbs have RGBWW printed on them, I had to select the V6/RGBW protocol to get it working.

Maybe someone here knows. I'm planning to order some dual white led strip. Just one thing I wonder, are the photos in Aliexpress from RGB strips or do they really sell it with four wires (three of them usually marked as RGB)? :) I'd undestand that the image is something else than the real product but it really looks to be this way as the led chip on them looks as a dual white chip - but wiring and naming of the wires especially doesn't make so much sense. An example here: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/5M-DC12V ... 91197.html

How would one attach this to e.g. FUT039 (Link) along with an RGB strip? 4+4 wires, 7 slots. You control saturation with either warm or cold white and connect +12V from both to same slot?

And on some other sites (e.g. here) I've seen dual white strips with three wires - which kinda makes more sense.

Looks like usage graph doesnt work right with milight and dimming in domoticz, it just says 0% or 100% when using 50% etc. Anyone know how to fix this ?

Hi! I have several dual white strips at home and yes, they look like that – 5050 LEDs that are dual white, but four connectors and labeled RGB|V+. It's no problem. I just cut off the four pin connector and screw them onto the terminals of the control box.
However, depending on what you want to do I recommend getting the RGB controllers instead. This allows you to tell the strip to be exactly warm white, or cold white, and at exact levels. This cannot be done with the dedicated dual white control boxes.

FYI, FFFF00 gets you cold white full blast, and 0000FF gets you warm white full blast.

Thanks a lot for confirming this! :) So you use an RGB controller for these? I still don't get how the wiring goes though, by setting to Red-Green-Blue you get either warm, cold or mixed white?

I was planning to use FUT039 with 7 wire connectors which I was hoping would be able to do what I need, i.e. full scale from cold to warm and RGB with saturation (saturation probably only with WW or CW). There are two V+ holes, WW, CW and R,G, B. I guess I would connect one wire from the "dual white RGB" and the V+ from real RGB to same V+ on controller? I currently have war white strips with RGB strips and FUT038 (V+, W, R, G, B) where I connect the V+ from both strips to V+ of the controller and it works well (I can set it to white and RGB saturation).

Yes, I use the RGB controller. One would think that it'd work like what you wrote with the colors, but 100% blue (0000FF) gets me warm white and 100% Red + 100% Green (FFFF00) gives cold white. Using only 100% Red gives me half blast on the cold white LEDs...

I get what you're after now. I do think, however, that it might not be possible to do colors+white (pastel colors) if that's what you're after. I think I've read that MiLight doesn't support this. I'd love to be wrong though.
Connecting the FUT039 should be as straightforward as you say; RGB to their pins and the RGB +V to the +V pin, while the dual white strip is connected to their respective pins. I don't know what control options you get here though; maybe pastel colors (RGB+W at the same time) is possible, maybe not.

Ok, interesting. Probably an older version of the RGB controller? Well, maybe the current ones work in similar way, not sure :)

Yes the new versions support saturation (pastel colors), with FUT038 I can control at the same time both RGB and then the white intensity. With FUT039 I think it will be the same, i.e. I cannot control all RGB and white color + intensity at the same time, only RGB and white intensity. But then without RGB on, it is possible to control the white color temperature. Also with the new bulbs (RGBWW, RGBCW and RGB+CCT) you'll have the pastel colors (saturation control) available :) In any case, I'll order some dual white strip and FUT039 and see how it goes :D
johanneso wrote:BTW, here's a cheaper FUT039
Thanks, will get it even cheaper when I buy this through the Aliexpress app...:)

Sure, already placed the order :) I've noticed that it's only some sellers / items that offer the "exclusive app prices" but yes, generally it is a bit cheaper to order via the app.

Hi everyone.
How can I find the port number of the iBox? I guess it's the iBox2

EDIT

Ok in the browser http://portnumberoftheibox:80 I can see all the settings. The port number is 8899 but I don't know why domoticz doesn't turn on/off lights. Using v4/v5 or v6 and all the combination with RGBW, RGBWW (I don't know what does it mean RGBWW), etc..

Domoticz version is 3.7206
I'm using the gu10 rgbw lights
