Snapshot can't be loaded. Probably CGI question?
I have a cheap Tenvis camera that I can view a snapshot of through: http://x.x.x.x/web/snap.html From there I was able to work back to this command: http://x.x.x.x/cgi-bin/hi3510/snap.cgi which gives me to the path to the temporary image: /tmpfs/snap_tmpfs/20180603/IMG001/IMG_chn0_TIMER_MNG ...

Re: Ceilingfan
I'm more of the "why make it harder than it needs to be" kind of guy. I don't have ceiling fan, but do have a regular fan. Some 15 euro kind of thing. I have it plugged into a RF switch (cheap) and use my remote to switch it because if I'm on the couch I'm not really looking to stand up to turn it ...

New kind of Amazon Dash button to start tasks
Amazon is releasing a new version of their Dash button specifically aimed at IoT tasks. So no longer predefined tasks, but you can now set your own. http://www.engadget.com/2016/05/13/amazon-programmable-dash-button-iot/ Of course you could already mess around with your original Dash buttons like ...

Re: Car domoticz project
Hi Korniza, I own a cheap OBDII > USB thing. I use an USB OTG cable to connect it to my Android phone. There are several apps that are able to use the connection. I personally use it for car diagnostics only. I have it in my car as standard, so that when I get a check engine light for example I can ...

Nest effectively bricks Revolv on May 15th
Most of us know SmartThings. Revolv sort of did the same thing. This small box with a lot of different radios in it to communicate with many different protocols. About 17 months ago it got acquired by Nest. Now, on May 15th Nest has decided to no longer support Revolv or the servers running it. It ...

EU spec Zwave devices in Australia?
So I'm planning to emigrate from the Netherlands to Australia. I have a couple of Zwave devices. Am I allowed to bring them with me or will customs seize them? I'm aware that I'll have to buy EU spec Zwave devices if I ever want to expand my network, but for now I'm curious if I can even take them ...

Re: Domoticz app 2.0
So I've reset my 360, no result. Got another watch, no result. Uninstalled Domoticz on my phone and watch and then reinstalled, no result. Also tried connecting the watch directly to my home network with and without the phone connected through Bluetooth and again it didn't work. Other than getting ...

Re: Domoticz app 2.0
Hi, just wanted to reply that I've been using the premium version of the app for some time now. Very happy with it so far. I have noticed two things though: - Using widgets (well actually just one) consumes a lot of battery. 10 ~ 15% on a full day on a Galaxy S6. - Android Wear app doesn't load on ...

Philio 4in1 - No idea what most of the subdevices are
So I have a Philio 4in1 doorsensor (PST02-A). Hooked it up without any problems, but there are more devices than I anticipated and they're not clearly named. Please also have look at the below screenshot. These are the supported functions: PIR, Door/window, temperature and illumination. http://i ...

It seems that there are a lot of Dutch users of Domoticz (or at least a lot of Dutch users who are visible on the forums). I've been wondering why that is.

Thanks, they look pretty affordable too. My current PTZ doesn't have optical zoom and can't do presets, but it didn't cost anything either. Maybe time to upgrade

Re: Best Supprise Automation Cases

Re: Best Supprise Automation Cases
I've ordered a cheap COCO doorswitch to use on the letterbox and using Pushover I'll set it up to send me a message. That way I know when the mail is in and it saves me a useless trip to the mailbox. Hardly very innovative or smart, but I'm lazy so whatever. Maybe I'll get a cheap IP cam to send a ...

Re: Noob tutorial for getting scripts to work on Synology/DS
As far as i know, i have never needed to install Python on the Synology. It was available already by default. If you execute 'which python' on SSH, it will tell you the location. Thanks for your reply and thanks for the tip on how to find Python. I'm running DSM 5.1, the open source version of DSM ...

Noob tutorial for getting scripts to work on Synology/DSM
Disclaimer: I’m not an expert in any way and I took a lot of time finding things out, much longer than it should’ve taken. But yeah I can only imagine I’m not the only one trying to make this script (and any script in general should work this way) working from a DSM / Synology system, so I figured I’ ...

Domoticz + scripts on Synology, drive spindown?
First off let me thank all you guys for the great work you do on Domoticz! With no experience in SSH and little experience in using command line systems I jumped in and started playing with Domoticz and so far I love it. I've decided to install Domoticz on my Microserver Gen8 running DSM 5.1 as to ...
