Re: Delay timer with Blockly
Blockly is VERY limited. There is not set or reset -able timer, something you need for things like presence detection. Years ago there was a poll for what functionality should be added to blockly, this one was high on the list. I doubt we'll ever see it ;) (Oh hi gizmocuz) Search for "presence ...

Re: Debouncing for PiFace Digital 2
Do you have long wires attached to the inputs ?
These signals are only 3.3V and VERY sensitive. I would recommend to do any filtering on the hardware side, maybe even seperate the inputs from the switches with a few optocouplers.
-sorry- just realized I'm replying to a old topic.

Re: Cheap WiFi LED dimmer (~10$)
I currently have one installed in a more or less "test" setup (hey ... my complete setup is an experiment at this point) cobbled together on a prefboard with some components I had available, and it works almost flawlessly, the 'almost' is a result of my less then perfect WiFi setup. If you have ...

Re: Cheap WiFi LED dimmer (~10$)
Do NOT buy your semiconductors from China unless you want to get ripped off, this is especially true for power and obsolete components and even more so if you buy them via Ebay Ideally you would use a logiclevel FET for this application since the output of these ESP modules is only 3.3V (on a sunny ...

Is it just me ... or has something changed with the intertek support ? http://www.gigawatts.nl/co/Domotica/IT.png Learning a switch with the testbutton works (ID set to 1 01 01 01, unit 1), but I'm unable to switch it on in domoticz. When I then try to turn on the newly created switch it does ...

Today I finally made something I wanted to make a looong time ago: A rfxtrx433e LAN edition 8-) I also changed the onboard 3v3 voltage regulator to a LDO regulator capable of outputting 500mA Nice work ! That gives it some placement freedom. Why the beefed up regulator ? The tcp232 has a onboard 3 ...

You set domoticz to allow for new devices right?
I don't exactly know how this is handled, but I suspect it needs to see a few pules when it is in "allow new devices mode"

Re: Action Promax / Kaku Alternative
Nevermind, i will return this set ASAP. The devices felt slightly warm in a short period of time. That's why i decided to measure the power consumption. Almost 6 VoltAmps ! Slightly offtopic... VA's is apparent power, your electricity meter from the utility company only 'sees' the active power in ...

Since you join the ground of your board and the ground of the meter ... I would not touch that nice shiny and very conductive WiFi connector.
That could be a shocking experience

From my config:
Code: Select all
piface.0.input.7.enabled=false
piface.0.input.7.pin_type=level
piface.0.input.7.count_enabled=true
piface.0.input.7.count_update_interval_sec=10

Hi stefaanv,
Do you have any info about your WAGO - Domoticz link ?
I have a 750-481 kicking around that I would like to use to control lights and shutters, but I have no idea how to implement this.

Hi Mike,
That looks very nice, I have some (yellow) serial matrixes kicking around, this would be a nice project for them.

Re: News regarding Piface 1 & 2 (counter) issues
Te problem is not the piface, that thing is just a very simple serial IO expander. Mysensors is ok for a lot of things, but if I can help it I really try to avoid adding ANOTHER wireless thing (with its own quirks) If it's at all possible it I like directly connect things, and the piface WAS perfect ...

Re: Automatic Ipad Charger
Yep,
Im with think here, Lion batteries don't like frequent charge/discharge cycles, And in the act of charging you actually lose some energy.
Leaving it plugged in is probbably the best option, the charge controller in the ipad does the rest.

If you can trick them in expediting the meter replacement .... then that is something I would be interested in ( wink wink, nudge nudge ) If anyone wants to adapt this project, do NOT store every tick into the eprom, the eprom has a finite number of write cycles and won't live very long if you keep ...
