Re: Expand lifespan of SD-card or SSD drive
I run my complete Domoticz from a ram disk for some years now. Without problems. In short: My /home/pi/domoticz folder is a ram disk and /home/pi/Domoticz_disk_copy is a copy of that on the uSD card. I changed /etc/init.d/domoticz.sh so that with a stop of Domoticz everything is copied to the uSD ...

Re: Options to show older data on year graphs
I think my question should be if it is possible to create a report button for the log page of the Custom Sensor.... I never saw the report button because I do not use these sensor types. Today I created a dummy device and added a lot of different types of sensors by using the web GUI and indeed ...

Options to show older data on year graphs
I like the way I can zoom and select periods on the day, month and year graphs. For the day graph there are functions to show 1, 3 or 7 days day and also to show last 3 hours or last hour. On the year graph there are options to see 1 or 3 months and 1 or 2 weeks. Would it be an idea to move the 1 ...

Re: Upgrading Raspberry Pi can not move Domoticz
@HansieNL many thanks for the good suggestion to install on Buster. I know that Domoticz will work on that because that is what was running on my Pi before and is still running on my other Pi. I will stick with Bullseye on this one and wait (im)patiently for Domoticz to become available on Bullseye ...

Re: Upgrading Raspberry Pi can not move Domoticz
Thanks for the update. I am looking forward to the new version.
Is there a way to get a notification when it is available, maybe for beta testing ?
I can always get an extra uSD card to make a test installation.
Since I am retired I have some spare time available.....

Re: Upgrading Raspberry Pi can not move Domoticz
Hello @FireWizard,
Thanks for the fast response but......Auw, so sad to hear that.
So it will not run at all, also not when I just add the Hardware in the new setup and forget about my history?
Did not look for Bullseye issues yet but maybe you know when Bullseye will be supported ?

Upgrading Raspberry Pi can not move Domoticz
I have 2 uSD cards. One 'old' with an updated Domoticz Version: 2022.1 Build Hash: c9526851b on buster and I want to upgrade to bullseye so I have a 2nd 'new' uSD card for that and have already a lot running like on the 'old' one. pivpn, minidlna and some other things and now I want to get Domoticz ...

Re: Looking for a configurable dimmer
A theoretical example would be a pump of which I want to control the flow between let's say 137 and 259 milliliter/minute.
For that I would like a slider like on a dimmer with the unit 'ml/m' and lower and upper limits of 137 and 259.

Looking for a configurable dimmer
I am looking for a dimmer switch type I can not find. Perhaps I am not searching good enough. I would like to be able to change the lower and upper limits of a dimmer from 0 and 100 to values like 150 and 300 or 30 and 70. This way I could control a level of a device between the real limits of that ...

Difference between local Domoticz host access to localhost, 127.0.0.1 and eth0: IP address?
In one sentence, it feels like... When I have users and passwords in Domoticz, no exceptions in 'Local Networks (no username/password):' and have a local session on my Domoticz server, I have full access to Domoticz by using urls to the eth0: IP address. Am I right here, is this the way it should be ...

How do I report a general security issue?
I am using domoticz now for about a year on Raspberry Pi and a virtual debian machine. I developed my own plugins (daikin emura+bme280 for climate control, p1 meter combined with solar inverter, some other things) and some external tools. During these activities I ran into a version independent ...
