Re: Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
A project update:- After several months now, my Hive Thermostat/Boiler controller continues to operate via zigbee2MQTT as documented at https://github.com/roadsnail/Hive-SLR2-SLT2-Zigbee2MQTT-with-node-RED The only change I made about 3 weeks ago, was to replace my CC2531 Zigbee USB stick with a zzh ...

Re: Migrating British Gas Hive Heating from BG Hive cloud to local Zigbee network
Thanks and I hope you manage to solve your Tado issues. I was never entirely happy relying on a working internet connection and Centrica back-end for my heating. Issues here over the last few days have centred on Zigbee reliability. I think my network is too large now for my CC2531, so will be ...

Re: Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
Hi @MikeF Great news on the topic issue and it's good to hear you are achieving similar results. I did a similar thing and hacked my Heating/Hotwater dzVents control/scheduling script and watched relays working 'in parallel' while my setup was in test mode. That was what gave me the confidence to ...

Re: Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
Hello @MikeF I will be ordering a zzh USB stick when they become available again, but in the meantime, my cc2531 seems to be behaving itself since I soldered a largish electrolytic capacitor across the sticks +5v/GND pins. Previous to the mod, I had regular issues with USB stick 'lockups' requiring ...

Migrating British Gas Hive Heating from BG Hive cloud to local Zigbee network
Towards the end of 2020, following some British Gas changes to their cloud API which temporarily broke my Domoticz/Hive integration, I decided to unpair my Hive Controller/Thermostat from the BG Hive Active Hub and re-pair them with my local Zigbee network co-ordinator thus breaking my dependency on ...

Re: Mqtt mosquitto on Domoticz
I presume you are using zigbee2MQTT as you mention Zigbee sensor (mqtt stick?). Maybe a cc2531? Anyhow... The last time I saw that error, I had edited the zigbee2MQTT configuration file at /opt/zigbee2mqtt/data/configuration.yaml and made a typing error! Luckily it was an easy fix, as it worked ...

Re: Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
UPDATE: Now testing with SLR2/SLT3 combination. As mentioned in my previous post, I have swapped my SLR2/SLT3 combination (controlled from Hive cloud) out for my SLR2/SLT2 test combination that has been shadowing my live system for about a week. A simple job, as the controllers are identical. So ...

Re: Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
Checking model names and pictures, it seems I’ve got an SLT3 thermostat (with an SLR2 receiver), so it will be interesting to see if I encounter any difficulties. Yes, your experimentation with the unofficial APIs got me started with Domoticzising my Hive. I seem to recall my first attempt was a B ...

Re: Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
Thank you for this - this looks really interesting! Having started the ‘Read Hive...’ thread 5 1/2 years ago, and then abandoned Hive (in favour of Drayton Wiser), I might just resurrect it - I still have the kit, and it would make a challenging project for these dark nights / Tier 4 restricted day ...

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature
@MikeF - It was you that first got me into controlling my Hive from Domoticz! I thought you had moved on to using different hardware?

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature
Hi all, Not wanting to detract from the excellent work going on here to maintain the plugin following recent authorisation changes made by BG. But for anyone wanting to experiment with migrating their Hive Active CH/HW controller from the Hive cloud and controlling their CH and HW locally by pairing ...

Re: Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
@waltervl. Thanks. I presume you are referring to a Pull Request to Stanislav's plugin? If so, then I haven't got as far as working out what needs changing in the plugin to integrate the MQTT messages for control yet. I discovered that stas's plugin created 3 devices after I paired the SLR2/SLT2. 1 ...

Hive Active SLR2-SLT2 heating,Zigbee2MQTT and node-RED
I have been a using the Hive Active Heating/Hot Water controller with Domoticz for around 18 months now. Initially, I integrated Hive into my domoticz setup using scripts inspired by MikeF lua scripts. I then progressed on to the Hive plugin maintained by imcfarla, forked and modified for my own use ...

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature
I'm looking to bail on Hive too, I have to reboot my hub daily to keep it working, that know about the issue & want me to pay for a new hub. Just wish I'd started homebrewing my own solution the last time BG changed stuff! I would have had a working replacement by now. Anyhow... My plan is to rip ...

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature
Yep, same here. Noticed the house was cooling down!
(Hive) HTTP Error 401: Unauthorized
Errors started around the same time.
Haven't started looking yet, but I think I will bail on the Hive system. Once I get rid, then I will not be relying on third parties any longer
for automation.

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature
Panic over I have updated both the plugin.py and plugin.urllib.py both are now version 1.2 and should handle the new login API Thank you for the quick fix! BTW. I am still running a very of version of plugin.urllib.py so I was able to fix my old version by patching GetSessionID from your github ...

Re: Python Plugin: Domoticz-Google-Plugin
Installed everything as per github readme. All chromecasts/google home devices discovered and configured in Domoticz devices. I also configured one device to play notifications. First time I play a notification, it works fine. Subsequent notifications case my google home speaker to activate, (it ...
