Hi.
I want to start/stop my wacuum cleaner, but it is a old non-smart device, so I need to use IR.

some suggestions for an IR transmitter that can work for this?

I have interface for Z-Wave (UZB1) and 433MHz (RFXtrx433E)

maybe cheapest solution: LIRC
I used to control my Roomba (IR) with LIRC installed on my RPI.

mhm, than I need a RPi.
Is it advanced to set up, and where can I find guides?

I don't know. Don't have any yet

The cheapest solution would be mysensors - which then you can use for other projects as well. First you have to build a gateway, then an ir transmitter. Take a look on www.mysensors.org, the instructions are clear, and you can find links for all the equipment you'll need.

Please help me, how to use lirc with irobot ?
