Status of an existing door lock?

Hi,
I already use Kaku Awst-6000 switches to detect if a door/window is open or closed.
Is there perhaps a way to remotely check if a door is locked too?
(But I don't want a new lock. It has to be able to check an existing lock)

It depends on the type of your door frame.
If it hollow frame with holes for deadbolt you can use some kind of limit switch (I use it):
Also you can use reed switch and little magnet glued on deadbolt:
And the most complex way is to use IR proximity sensor for checking deadbolt position:
