Remote access password changing

I have remote access to Domoticz working without username and password but when I put in a username and password and try access over https the login page will not accept my password, when I check the username/password in settings the password is now showing as being a very long string not the one I put in.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

This happens to me as well. I have to change it back to "my password" and then it works again. Very annoying.
