My mini-monitor! 3 LED's connected to a RaspberryPi where my Domoticz is running on.
The LED's are controlled via a script started from "domoticz_main" showing me the status from 3 important switches.
(burglar alarm active, camera active, minimum 1 door/windows is open)

Hey CopyCatz
do you know what's difference between Bramble Case with or without GPIO (Dropdown field on ETSY)?
I thought it should be an additional cut out... isn't it?
Have you ordered LCD using a PM to Te...?

Yeah you can pm texy. The gpio is the header for attaching electronics, so you will get an opening there if you select the gpio option.

@remb0
Just wondering, how did you mount the patchpanel. Is it attached to a frame??

Got a new toy
I found this cheap sound modul:
http://www.pollin.de/shop/dt/ODk1OTYzOT ... _2x10.html
To use it for additonally burglar protection I want to couple it with my doorbell via a script which checks if I've armed my alarm system. If yes it will play automatically all sound files on the SD or USB when connecting to power (12V). I placed those sounds on it:
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDnbvyrPR34 or this
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNeWxcLeu18
Additionally I need a spcecial transmitter which will be connected in parallel to my doorbell-switch.
http://www.intertechno.at/produkte/send ... TS-23.html
Also a remote switch is needed which will activate the powersupply of the sound-modul.
Regards
Hardy
... so, finally my "barking-box" ready for operation. Will start barking when my burglar alarm system is activ and someone presses the doorbell.

Ow yes!! Cool idea. Bookmarked the toy! And in case you are home have it play a chearfull ding-dong (or Christmas song as you like). Just put 2 MP3's on the thing and select next song for the barking dog! That'll keep them away

Intel NUC core i3 with 8 gig mem, 60 gb msata, thunderbolt port, 3x usb. Microsoft kindly provided me with Server 2012 Datacenter for free

My 'test' setup using a charger as a UPS! Seems to work 100% although rhe solar is not functional but it gives possible an idea how to safeguard the unit for powerfailures!

Share with you my biggest projects a raspberryPi Photoframe.
Scrapped an old TFT screen and built a new wooden frame and mounted a raspberryPi behind, and put it on the wall.
A script runs every 5 minutes and check for new images to an email address it has and puts them up. And every minute, the photoframe retrieve the images from various cameras and weather forecast.
