Schlage Lock + Z-Stick S2

I cannot seem to get my Schlage lock added properly. I am running Domoticz in unRaid on a server VM. Everything works flawlessly, however I cannot get my lock to add.

Since I cannot move my server to my door, I unplug my stick and add devices with it, then replug and reboot Domoticz. Has worked for light switches, home energy monitor, smart plugs, and others. I cannot get it to work for my lock.

I go through the adding process on the lock:
- 6 digit code
- 0
- Wait for pair

Both the stick and lock blink rapidly, but then the stick returns to a normal blink, and then stops blinking after about a minute. My lock continues to blink orange for another minute, then I get a red X.

Interestingly enough, after going through this a few times, I gave up and plugged back into server. Domoticz has a new Z-wave device, unknown, and a new device, labeled as "Light 2" type.

Any way to get this properly added?

Did you ever have any luck with this?

For secure devices you want to add it via the OZW CP, there is a drop down for Add Secure Node, then do the button+code+0, it should then pair correctly.

Im actually running in a problem now with it not reporting back. It will change the state of the door but Domoticz wont update when its changed by hand.

i have exactly the same issue, unresolved.

can you elaborate on the "add secure" functionality? i see that in the z-stick control panel in domo, but the add secure doesn't seem to work - perhaps because the stick is far from the lock when i do this? i've always added devices by simply unplugging the stick and walking over to the device... how does it work in an "add secure" fashion?

thanks for any assistance.

hey @dzaret,

https://github.com/OpenZWave/open-zwave ... ces-to-OZW

there are the details, but the short of it is you need to define a security key in the ozw config and then securely add it (the include secure on the CP)

its been a while since i messed with it, but if you've added it insecurely make sure you do a factory reset, maybe more than once, i had some weird things going on when i tried to switch it over to secure..
