Because of range issues I have decided to install a second Z-Wave stick on a Linux laptop also running a Domoticz server.
That way I will have a main Linux server running Domotiz with a Z-Wave stick controlling most of the devices.
And an extra server (laptop) running a Z-Wave stick controlling a single Z-Wave device.
Is there an easy way to 'connect' these two Domoticz servers so that I can run all logic from the main server?
I know I can do it with bash scripts etc., but if there's an easier option....
And no, Z-Wave repeaters is not an option.
* EDIT
After some more reading in the Wiki, I can see that there is something called 'Device sharing'.
I'm going to try that in the weekend

Re: Domoticz on two Linux servers
Add a remote Domoticz server under setup --> hardware --> type: Domoticz remote server .

Re: Domoticz on two Linux servers
No success so far.
I get these messages in the logs:
Master:
2015-03-01 10:49:32.486 Domoticz: TCP connected to: 10.0.0.45:6144
2015-03-01 10:49:32.491 Error: Domoticz: TCP/IP connection closed! 10.0.0.45
2015-03-01 10:49:32.491 Domoticz: retrying in 30 seconds...
Slave:
2015-03-01 10:49:30.615 Incoming Domoticz connection from: 10.0.0.44
And then nothing more in the log before the same message repeats 30 seconds later.
Any ideas?

It's working well now.
I deleted and then added the user again (on the slave), and added the wanted device for that user.
Not sure what was the error, but now it's all good

Re: Domoticz on two Linux servers
Hi There
I have the same issue with a need for multiple servers to cover an old house with very think walls. could you help with these questions?
-Did the system work with adding additional domoticz servers?
-can you control and receive information from the devices on the remote server?
-can you add the remote devices into the logic the same as local ones?
-Do you know if several remote servers can be added?
I appreciate any help here as the topic is very poorly documented.
I will be using RFXcom trancievers on the remote servers.
Many thanks.

I'm running domoticz on 3 pi zero slaves (with stuff attached) and an osx version as master. Works like a charm.
And your right:

Contains not that much

Re: Domoticz on two Linux servers
Does this also work if you're running both Domoticz instances within a virtual machine? I have a Windows 10 PC with a virtual machine with Ubuntu to run Domoticz on. We have two houses and I want to control devices in the other house through the same Domoticz system. Because RF signals won't reach the other house, I am thinking of putting another PC with Windows over there and also running a VM with Ubuntu on it.
Both houses have the same LAN. I ran a CAT-7 cable underground from one house to the other, so the network is shared.
