Hi All,

I just uploaded #2215 that should add support for uploading custom icons. (Settings->More Options)

Its a first release, and needs some more fine tuning, but hope it works
(Gui is not translated yet also)

The icons are stored in the database, and are cached and also written to the www/images folder if they do not exists,
so when you make a backup of your database, this should let you keep your custom icons as well.

You need to supply a ZIP file, the contents is described in the updated manual.
It is possible to add multiple icons in the zip file.

Currently only supported for On/Off switches (as it is now), and probably later for other types as well

Also the dropdown to select the icon has to be rebuild as it is now a long list, when you have 50 icons its very long

But why don't my icons display correctly with transparency, I've set the layer in Gimp and they are transparent on my machine but not on the web interface?

Any advice gratefully received

The feature is working great by me, so i think there is something wrong on your site.

Was thinking google drive or something. This has sufficient storage. Or maybe: https://code.google.com/

I like it to go to manage, only it must be a sustainable place.
So not a free place that tomorrow is gone.

any one an idea?

you can use github,
of better google drive / dropbox ? free and thumbails in browsers and multiple restore view and sync options

If you use a filebase name which is in use by domoticz, for instance "motion", uploading the zip file doesn't drop any errors. The icons are not visible only a broken filename browser icon.

In a map you can find the zip.
And there will be an on_icon, so you can see the icons before you download them...

There will be no different style...
Only the icons that other members share......

I really like the Nuvola icon set made by David Vignoni. ==> http://www.icon-king.com/projects/nuvola/ (GNU LGPL 2.1)
The icon set already has a folder with 48x48 icons. Within Gimp you can install a very nice 'Batch Image Manipulation' plugin with which resizing, renaming and greyscale manipulation on multiple images is very easy. Exactly what you need for nice On/Off pictures.

I attached an example of some possible icons.. Still searching for a nice door though..
