Hello, This morning I update from 2025.2 beta 17060 to 2025.2 beta 17074.

And domoticz crashes at opening:

Code: Select all

     Loaded: loaded (/etc/init.d/domoticz.sh; generated)
Active: active (exited) since Thu 2026-02-05 08:37:58 CET; 3min 17s ago

Could you hep me? Thanks

NB: under bookworm (is it the problem?)

I had the same `GLIBC_2.38' not found' error when I upgraded my beta today. Also on bookworm; running on a Pi 4. Sorry, I can't now be certain of the "old" and "new" domoticz releases.
I "fixed" the problem by reverting to an older version of the bata, as described at
https://wiki.domoticz.com/Raspberry_Pi# ... ect_update
It's now running OK on version 2025.2 (build 17057)

My impression from a few searches is that Glibc 2.38 is used in trixie but not in bookworm. But I'm not an expert!
I hope this helps.

Thanks Chris for your reply. I'll wait a few hours and see if a new beta version is released before reverting to the old one.

I also think it's a problem with Bookworm.

I put an older backup, upgraded to Debian 13 and then updated to Domoticz beta. That's how it worked.

I can't revert because I do an update several times and backups are dated after the first update.

Two solutions:
- Waiting for another release?
- Try updating to Debian 13?

What do you think about that?

Hi,

GLIBC_2.38 has never been used in Debian.

Bookworm uses 2.36 and Trixie uses 2.41.
So if an upgrade to Debian 13 will help you, I do not know.

Regards

Happy end!
I have upgraded to trixie. https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopi ... 6&start=50

domoticz is running!

I shall have some stuff to repair monit's parameters...

Thank you for your help.

Should be solved now by upgrading to the latest beta.

The build servers had to be adjusted because of a big (&$!@) change by mosquitto's CMake project.

Domoticz is now also using a new external library (libmosquitto1) that is installed by the updatebeta/updaterelease scripts (assuming you are on one the latest beta's)

For users running a stable release via the bash install command line , you should run this script again so all dependencies are installed.

Of course docker users will have no issues when upgrading

Something to mention in the release notes (history.txt) of upcoming stable 2026.1 ....
